Just make it so 10 people can be made treat givers and everyone else a treat reciever then just have the houses be dumb meshes / map objects and those 10 people just pick a house and go stand there.
The fanciest you could go with the house logic is have each house be numbered 1 to 10 and when a person gets assigned treat giver number 1 through 10, the mailbox of their house number gets updated with their name.

We had the fashion event last week and at least in regards to EU, the participation was very low and most people who were there were there just to watch or talk to people. There is a difference between showing up and actively participating in the roleplay. At least as far as the EU part of the fashion event goes, it was mostly unsuccessful in my eyes given this. I described what we do anyways when making any avatar we use which is kit bash things we like together.

Use the shitty pvp prefab. Victims respawn in randomly in house, murderers have .75 movement speed of victims.

Game ends when victims escape or people leave.
Outside of the game area is a hangout spot wich is an fireplace by the lake close to the house. The sun is setting over the lake.

VRC lens has been pretty nice to use, one question I have for those that use it often is how do you non-avatar prio the AF. For example, if I want to take a photo of some map object in the distance you cant use the AF on the lens, you have to manual focus. Is there no way to deprioritize avatars?

There are a lot of lens and manual focus settings that you can use if you want to take images that focus on the background. My experience with vrclens is that manually focusing was pretty much always superior to autofocus.

If you're going to attach something with constraints but also have physbones on it, have two sets of bones for the peeled pieces, one weighted and the other without any weights but exactly the same size angle shape etc. Then have the physbones on the dummy bones without weights and have the physbones always on. So if you look at the time between certification and release, the time was wildly different for the steam deck and index, so it's not a good predictor. The rumored deckard is unique in that it has been certified before announcement.

I'm not sure if the issues I was running into when I briefly had a 6800XT ever got fixed, but I was having some issues with both VRChat and SteamVR in general on the latest AMD drivers at the time. 7000 series cards supposedly still underperform in VR for the price.

I'm also using a G29 since 2017. Burned a shit ton of hours trying to get it dialed in and it sucked - but now that it's set, I'm really happy with it. I think nowadays it's a lot easier to do especially since people can just link each others settings. If I were to upgrade I'd just go for something direct drive, though I haven't bothered to look into anything yet since I became NEET and don't feel a particular need to upgrade. If you keep an eye out on eBay and thrift stores, you can find a G29/G920 for ~$120-$170. You can find it with the H-pattern shifter (no longer included with the wheel unlike previous models) for $200 or less. While the G27 is ancient, they're still alive and kicking and can be had for less while not being too much more different from the G29s - also if you do go for that, try to find one with the dial on the shifter because that easily converts it from an H-pattern to sequential shifter. Would be nice if mine could do that, really sucks Logitech removed such a nice feature with all of the newer models.

There's people here who use AMD cards like 6800XT and 6950XT, so those are on the table, and you can ask people about their actual experiences before deciding. Like the other post said, the 7900 line has a bug that ruins VR performance on Windows, so avoid them. I don't have any info about 7800XT in VR but avoid it until info comes out.

There's also quest 2 wireless encoding, which is slower on the 6000's, so they're not recommended for questlets.

Outside of the 4090 and AMD 6000's, the market for new cards isn't very good. 4080 and the 4060's are overpriced. The 4070 and ti are only 12gb and are marketed for meme features that don't matter in vr. The used market has a lot of deals but also risks, and you have to watch out for mining cards that were mistreated, especially GDDR6X vram getting damaged by miners who didn't bother with cooling.

What SteamVR file determines the per game FOV and World Scale settings? I've looked inside of steamvr.vrsettings but haven't found any of that tracked, just the per game and global resolution scale. Sadly Valve's SteamVR development documentation doesn't talk about any of the newer settings.

Nah. I want a PCVR only headset that uses lighthouses. Self tracked controllers and all in one are cringe. I like my Steam Deck, but the screen gets scalding even with older games. Having that kind of hardware strapped directly to my face is a non starter. Self tracking just doesn't track as well. My Quest Pro controllers just aren't as snappy as my Indexes and lose themselves even in a well lit room, and that's with Carmack's black magic. Varjo is apparently working on another headset so I would shell out $3K for that instead.
