Grip day 2.0, but now with fully manual gearboxes. We're taking Formula One cars of 1970ties into Finland, to drive on extremely complicated track. There is enough grip and speed to kill yourself. Expect blind corners, it's gonna be a survival race, perfect for the last race of season 9.

Afterwards we'll take a drive in Hungary, on a Transfagarasan pass, to get some scenic views. Cars with no roof only!

The hosts can either go to the hub world and take everyone through the portals there which will be public portals (because as far as I know you can't put friends+portals in worlds) or I will send them a list of the worlds for them to favourite and drop friends+ portals to.
You're running out of time if you want to make a world. Try and get your worlds submitted a week before the 29th, and preferably submitted to labs to make it easier for hosts to drop portals to them

Considering the rest of the headsets available, I would consider just waiting for 2024 on what the next VR headsets will have, Pico 5 will come in April next year with same XR2 Gen2 like Q3, and very possible that Deckard releases around that period of time, mid 2024.

Best lenses in any HMD. pancake lenses, non-Fresnel, anti glare/reflective coting. Sweet spot is non existent as sharpness only mildly drops off at the far edges.
2 processor is 2.5 times more powerful than Q2.
Q3 has 2 independent displays at 2064 x 2208 per eye with mechanical IPD adjustment vs max 1832 x 1920 per eye on a single panel with only software IPD so adjustments can cause you to have even les FOV.
Q3 is also slimmer so the weight is closer to your face, making it's moment of inertia lower and feeling much lighter.

Yeah, that's not the best experience possible, I had some great evenings in public worlds, but most of the time it's unfrotunately a miss. How about socializing with fellow 4chin retards though? People who speak your language, also people who are more or less consistently there so if you've enjoyed a talk, you can have another casual conversation with them on the next occasion without commiting to full personal friendship. It's not like your personal commitment to the social circle is required, you won't be forced to talk either, but at the same time if you'll mention you're from the thread, you'll most likely be welcomed in a warm manner.
And there's lots to see. VRC is filled to a brim with all kinds of weirdest worlds, from actual gameplay stuff (obvious things like 8ball or party games like murder game to weirdest contraptions like this one world I saw at random where you build your own plane and then fly it around), through comfy soothing sceneries, to really abstract and often personal things. Even if you're not too hard into socializing, it might be worth trying it out in faux-singleplayer, just running around various worlds in personal instances to check out what's what. Levels of janky creativity around VRC content are considerably high. This singleplayer approach could also work well as a gateway drug into actually giving anon meetups a shot, if you feel like you're both curious and discouraged, andmay want to convince yourself step by step. Oh, and there's also Vket going on now, always fun to check through those things, seeing corpo ads in VRC worlds feels all kinds of futuristic.

It's fun for a while but it gets very repetitive fast. Dungeons are generated from pretty limited tileset so you start seeing the same rooms over and over again, enemies are also repetitive colour variants. Combat is brain dead yet annoying because combination of enemies in room are random so you can get spammed by chip damage or get pack of tanky shit that has to be slowly kited around, neither is fun in VR. RPG elements are mostly nonexistent and multiplayer works but it's janky and the game is obviously not balanced for it.

i just recently purchased an exercise bike for vr cycling and it's quite nice. biweekly there's a guy who hosts a map called UdonCityCycling and the bike works by having fbt (hips and feet trackers at least) and pedaling irl and it'll move the bike. there is admittedly some jank, such as needing to resize the bike to your irl height or else the speed is off but that's a relatively easy fix.
once you're actually in the world and moving, you don't get that usual vr sickness that i expected to have. your body is doing the motion that would produce the movement, so i suppose that's why.
it's worth it,and i should be doing it more but the busy season is among us,and if you have the opportunity to buy some cheap bike off of facebook marketplace or craigslist and get fbt then go for it.

Resonite simply because it's different enough and has established events and groups from Neos. It maintains 1k+ users steadily so it isn't going anywhere.
cluster is already established and it quite cleverly targeted users of other social VR games that were failing so if it comes to number of daily users alone it is already comfortably second place behind VRC and has to do nothing in particular to maintain that position.
CVR had the best shot at decrowning the king, twice even, but they missed both of those chances somewhat fierce. Their last chance is VRC shitting the bed harder than ever before in near future but if that doesn't happen or they miss that shot again then it's dead, finished, forgotten. CVR is already borderline dead and it is almost entirely its own fault.

If it is the physbones, you can duplicate the hip bone in blender, make sure the duplicate doesn't have any weights/vertex groups so it doesn't move any of the mesh itself, parent all your skirt bones to the duplicate, parent the hip duplicate to the hips, and use it as the root of your physbone component instead of the hip bone. Should fix that issue without changing any of your set up or the way things look.

Yesterday I picked up a quest 3 from best buy and today I noticed a few pixels in the right eye that I think are some type of stuck/dead. I can notice them on bright solid color backgrounds where they look lighter than the surrounding pixels, but they're not visible on black (this makes me think that brightness of the pixel is fine, but the rgb is messed up). See, that's still a different flavor of autism than what I think the game is going for. In the "build a spaceship" autism genre, yeah, I can see the appeal of starting with like a single shitty thruster, manual on/off switches, and some steering control rods; progressing to making your own perfect thruster configuration and cockpit arrangement for max speed and agility or whatever; then getting missions like tricky asteroid extractions or chases or combat to see how well you did. That would be a cool game. But instead you get like logic combinators and memory cells and bitpacking; it's definitely going for a programming game rather than a physics game.
Certainly, the setting of asteroid mining /could/ lend itself to that aerospace design genre too, and I agree that the game is way too limiting in what you can do there. You'd really have to expand the customization of the physical ship design and layout to be at all satisfying. And yeah, take out all the stuff like the ezmode translation controls and magical reaction wheel correcting force from the starter ship.
So yeah your glue-eating aerospace autism ain't served here, but I can see the promise of it being a decent literal spaghetti code autopilot programming game. Of course, it could still end up being a shitty programming game; once the autopiliot works, you'll just be stuck in the ship watching it drive around and snag asteroids. Game over pretty much. Developing any further in that direction probably would need to scale to managing fleets of ships rather than just a single one. So logistics and expansion, rather than complex maneuvering. And then some of the current game's subsystems like co2 scrubbing are detrimental at that point (why man the automated ship?).

I have a Quest Pro I use for VRChat because of face tracking and some wireless stuff like Tea For God and Quake 3. I use my Bigscreen Beyond for rhythm games and driving games because it's lighter and has less latency and a clearer screen. It handles Into the Radius better than the Quest too as VD encoding for whatever reason makes fog super blocky even on Godlike.

the DAS is really peak design, its not insecure as fuck like a halo strap and is actually comfortable unlike a fabric strap like the quest 2/3's, I also personally really like the closed design of the headphones over something like the g2 or index, hearing the outside world super easily really always bothered me

anyway. I'm thinking about a campaign where theirs a PMC group that contracts users from around the world by allowing them to operate Remote Nexus Robots. Theres lots of tacticool shit like arma 3. You win some battles through gorilla tactics on a much bigger force.(maybe mirroring something like Myanmar conflict near china). Soon the group starts to take too many causalities. The PMCs are fighting too much and there aren't enough Nexuses to hold back the bigger force. In the real world you begin to doubt the existence of the war, as there are no media coverages of the war.But when you go to log off, the UI fades out but you remain in the Nexus. There is no more interactions with the menus. The locals have overrided the system, to force the AI agent to fight. The computer generated your 'real life' to make you more comfortable so that your become more effective in fighting. Now there is no escaping. The locals keep lying to you, even during the last moments of their existence. You die confused, angry, and sad.
Theres also a lot of autistic stuff i'd want to see. Like a fully model medical system, for both the robutts and humans. VR/AR overlays/heatmaps on the body for certain senses like temperature, pain, touch/pressure. Maybe even a AI gen image for smell, you would have to look at the image to determine what the smell is, and it might be faded to represent how faint it is. To pilot a Nexus you need to measure your body with the controllers in order to fit the robot to your body. FBT movement prioritized over artificial ones. would be cool to see multiple versions of the Nexus, from the early stages, a purely engineered robot, to more human like at each step, until almost everything is copied.

I think in your typical casual everyday instance it's just not going to be easy. The fact is, a lot of people may complain here but people in-game won't care. The thing is you need to be in good company of people who will actively call out furries and harass them until they change avatars and you need hosts who need to enforce it. The bigger the instance the harder it is to attempt to enforce it. I couldn't care less about if someone is furry or not but I usually ask the furry that their avatar isn't taken kindly here and give them the choice of changing or getting kicked.

Seems to be completely for "creator economy" stuff. The specific case they'd mentioned was letting people sub to creators in game instead of through patreon. More convenient for building rewards into worlds and possibly would catch some people who wouldn't go to a different site, but from what I remember they take a bigger cut than patreon did.
I assume people will try to sell access to avatars directly through the game as well too, but I don't remember hearing anything about that.
