I'm making Triple Triad themed cards of everyone but the hard cap has already been within a week, so for those who have missed out, this is a reminder to sign up for the second batch by sending a nice looking solo VRC pic of your avatar to Miti, or alternatively post it here and hope I can figure out your name based off the picture - at the moment each individual can have one card so post the best picture(s) you have.

The intention of this project is to print them out as trading cards for an IRL yearbook-like collection and also to be given out to those individuals. They are MTG standard sized, playable cards.

Some have also suggested as an extension a 2024 map reminiscent of Bifrost, where you can use these character cards to play VR Triple Triad against other people in a map. There are no plans yet for this but it remains a possibility since it would be a nice way to commemorate the 5 year anniversary of that particular event.

If you need any help with the pictures or need to see examples of "a nice looking solo VRC pic of your avatar" I am here to help so please ask.

Using Airlink, wired or via WiFi, you should be dropped into the Oculus desktop VR dashboard, but you still have to launch SteamVR.

I'm using hybrid tracking and when I try to calibrate in OpenVR, it says "Target device is not tracking aborting calibration" I keep seeing the basestation in the background moving to the ground when this happens.

you download games on the quest store. most quest games are about 1 gb unless they are that gay viking game that just came out which is more like 40gb.
I don't see the point of getting the bigger device. Only so many quest exclusives not on pcvr.
blade and sorcery on pcvr is much better than nomad. not a very well optimized game.
quest has a few exclusives though you might be interested in:

One thing to note is way more kids have quest than pcvr. you will see a big difference in joining a vrchat multiplatform room versus a pc only.

remote desktop is the best by far. costs $20 on app store. also need to download program on your desktop.
PS: virtually every quest app/game when you purchase gives you a 25% off coupon that you can share to like 25 people. There are entire websites dedicated to these coupons being input by good samaritans so you can save on most of your quest titles, if not all.
whoever develops remote desktop usually has a fix in a short order, whereas I still have issues with headset connecting to PC after a year of it. Also, will not let me view desktop with amd graphics card using their software.

I think so. the pancake lenses make a big difference. You can trick your mind as long as you don't try a quest 3.
The quest 2 felt bulkier, passthrough was worthless, controller orbs mean you hit your hands together a lot more in games like boxing where they were close. I had to clean the lenses on quest 2 frequently as well. I usually just carried a microfiber cloth in my pocket. If you are using pcvr it shouldn't make too much difference with connection to pcvr, but I was hardwiring my quest 2 for the most part and now just use it wireless.

Because Slimes suck, the Vive Ultimates haven't proven themselves viable yet, and so you're gonna want a lighthouse system which means that suddenly there is a debate to made for an Index, or at least a used one, vs the Quest. To fit you to an avatar with big out of proportions legs or arms, they scale you up to fit the arm length and then push your real feet where ever they need to be(through the floor or above your actual feet. So not only is the scale off, but your real height. And then theres the "real height factor" and "avatar scale" which do different things to your relation to that value. Its all kinds of fucked up.
