What part of the event made you really happy and what part made you think it could be made better?

Timers aren't always easy to see from where you get dropped into the room, there's even one room where it's outside of the tent you start in. Might be better if there's one on each side behind the person you're talking to so it's easier to avoid getting cut off in the middle of talking.

Super fun event!
For me the 1on1 maps were very conversation-inviting, usually have a hard time to get into talking, but I got the talkball rolling with almost everyone. Although I heavily preferred the more open rooms, than the claustrophobic ones, like the confession booth room. The gaming instances were very pointless, only the drawguessing game was actually being played. The 20 seconds between meets may be a bit too fast, very little breathing room. But yeah, met many people and had a lot of fun!

While I appreciate your idea. Sadly anon cameras like that will probably never be implemented in the map. That is a breach of privacy of the intimate 1on1 befriending time anons would like to have. Knowing you could potentially be watched is a no-go.
The VRC camera has a big red column of light and name that makes it obvious when you open your menu. An in-map camera is more insidiously possible to hide.

1) schedule crossover instances between the main timezone instances, NA/SEA, SEA/EU, and EU/NA. They happen anyway of course, but making them more official might attract more people, including those who complain the main times are too late/early.

How do anons feel about being interviewed and recorded by the the tranny asker anon? I feel it was kinda weird overall and reeked of "im going to go to le funny 4chan community and farm recordings and content for my own personal purposes" tier streamer garbage

I remember reading that he was doing it for a class presentation or something for college, but I also got the impression based on his posts, his avatar looking straight out of 2018/like a quick public search & clone, and hearing about others interactions with him that he was a newfag. I'll admit to being wrong if he's been around and I just have never seen him, but it all looked weirdly suspicious like he wasn't JUST a newfag, but a tourist with no interest in actually sticking around beyond using the most high vis event of the year to farm content out of us like we're some circus show to post to /r/4chan or those gay fucking youtube voiceovers of greentext's

People record others all the time for sharing and promoting events within our thread and community, and when necessary to upload content to places other than webm's and streamables, use unlisted youtube links or similar. I have no issue with that and I presume most in this thread also have no issue. But those who do so are also usually well respected thread regulars, and either attend or host events and games regularly as well. As far as I know, interviewer anon was not such a person, and it strikes me odd that I saw not one post of concern about it througout the event that his goal might be malicious, even if unintentionallly so by his point of view.

I'm viewing this through the lens of those who farm their friend groups for content, which feeds such a terrible cycle of "my friends are funny, hey lets make some videos" into "my friends are doing anything and everything to become the next funny clip I upload" to "now I have random simps and trolls and crashers and clout chasers attempting to get into my instances just to make it on camera and into a video" type shit. shit like jameskii's fall from having good content in 2017 and 2018 into what it turned into after the cycle had revolved is not hard to see how it can apply to a community like this if people aren't checked from recording and uploading to public, high vis places

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm worried that worst case scenario, one day a video will pop up of everyone, and it'll be explained where it was recorded from either directly or through some youtube pinned comment or similar, and will direct tons of tourists to this place and we'll reach somehow an even worse critical mass point of rando's and fuckery that will make this thread and community unusable to the point of needing to unironically migrate to a different imageboard. Call it doomposting, call it schizophrenic, or please call it unwarranted if it was an actual anon or /vrg/ fren, but it is a very dangerous slippery slope that I dont want to see happen if this kind of thing isn't called out appropriately when needed. Thats not my intention to do. Sadly that is something I will never place as it will violate the privacy of the matching. The interrogation system we have now can still quickly teleport someone for a check and then teleport them back anyways. That's how it works. people basically used the game rooms for recess. the entirety of fbf is for one to one conversation so the game room sort of broke from that and had people return to someone they already knew.
i had some of the recess games where no one participated, had one where it was 5 minutes for a single round of pictionary where someone guessed it within a minute, and another game of russian roulette where only half the people played.
in all honesty i think there should have been no games and more recess breaks.
Probably only about 1 in 5 of the game rooms had the lucky circumstance of no one knowing each other and no one going afk to bullshit as a group.

Heh. The "Chan" cards all of it are chatGpt generated. The Friend, Action and Meme card decks are the ones left after pruning. Archived is what got gutted after the pruning.

1) make more time for the interim or a set area to continue meeting new anons and an area not too. I couldn't tell when i was in the safezone or enter zone when I had to go to piss etc.
If you spawn randomly in that great room, maybe having an area in the center to jump to to restart the process of joining a new group? Again, not sure if it was a big that some of my rounds didn't match me with anyone even when I saw others complaining about the same thing on the same round.

3) The minigames should be a separate event. A mario party night or something where each 5 minute round is a new random group of players for a 5-10 minute game. 4) You may consider removing the password for the first hour or two and only allowing the host to let people in so they can vet randos. Also, on that note, you may consider having a hikikomori pregame to incentivize newfags from coming in. It seems there are more than 5 lurkers on this site that are too scared to join events, especially one geared for newfags like this. Not really sure if it would work.
5) The cards and games were a novel idea. The RP rooms helped people icebreak. I just feel like for this event things had to be really dumbed down like tic tac toe, drawing, stupid simple icebreaker question cards if they couldn't hold a conversation well.
90% of my conversations went well. 25% I didn't even have to put any effort into maintaining the discourse whereas half of them I had to put in some effort. 15% the other person ate the mic but I was okay with that, and the last 10% the person was borderline catatonic but it was all memorable and fun.

Well, what a disappointment. Not only is the overlay lying and saying I'm getting 14ms latency when wired but I tried a rythm game and reduce the lag compensation on it and basically the real latency was exactly the same as before which was 24ms.
The framebuffer setting in the software doesn't work so wireless play fucking sucks. Bitrate is variable instead of fixed compared to before, bit rate is limited to 150 when I could jack it up to 250-300 via config file before (config file missing btw).
Resolution is the same as before on ultra and that "Video Super Resolution" setting does nothing except maybe slap on 50 levels of CAS filters. I don't fucking know. It's the same 2560x2560 image. Only upgrade is being able to adjust the prediction level of the controllers.

My suggestion would be for the recess round to replace a group matching/game round rather than come directly after. Most people didn't take the game rounds seriously and used it as a pissbreak, leading to this happening to me more than once:
Miss a match > Dead game round with nothing going on and multiple AFKS > Recess

Anon, I and most people do far better fishing for tap fire headshots then trying to spam full auto across any appreciable distance to the point that for long distance stuff, a Deagle with a dot is just as good if not better then most rifles. There is a reason that the burst fire guns like the M16 and Aug are actually very usable in Pavlov, and that's because controlling a spray at more then 5 feet is way harder with your hands then a mouse, which is also why foregrips are a thing. If I didn't play, I wouldn't know that the major downside to making snipers actually useful is that the normal counterplay of smokes isn't as reliable for people who are using knuckles and can't accurately throw things due to the release point being inconsistent with how it handles grip.

I think this is fine. Group rounds are designed to be more free-flow and not require 100% of your focus. Just a consequence of it but also a good variety and texture on what could occur in the event.

As long as a vast majority of the matching is 1 on 1, the system and feel of the event should be maintained.

I think the reason people don't use rare booths is mostly lack of addons. If you don't know much blender or unity, it's easier to shop around all the options for something like Rusk, but if no one made anything for your base of choice, you need to know more to get things added on them.

I don't disagree, oversaturation kills it and is somewhat why I hate gumroad assets, having seen the same shit overtake the entirety of /slg/, but the ease of use is a major selling point for everyone else.

I'm fine with my kitbash, though, and I can still add clothes as I need myself from whatever game I want. I'm not a common base, but I'm a workable base.

Honestly... working with avatars in general is hard. There's a lot to know outside of the stuff people use tools for. There's the need to not make your designs too busy, keep it consistent... It's disheartening to see people drop off when it comes to that and for that reason I think its disingenuous to equate the amount of content a base gets with the quality of it.

It's good for getting clean races if you don't mind it being relatively expensive to run compared to other games. Still cheaper than doing track days in a real car though.

LS Media made the in-game control, so it's unique to them. You don't need in-game control to use it, because you can interact with the app using an overlay.

We did decide to give the in-game control prefab to large vtubers, but probably won't give it to other worlds. Even the VTuber worlds have to be private streaming worlds

Because if you put them on in Blender, you can combine the meshes in a sane way and possibly also combine the materials.
You can actually do this in Unity with d4rk's avatar optimizer (which you should use anyway), just don't be that guy running around with 14 skinned meshes.
