For me it depends on how many base features they added and balance done since the last update, it still feels like so many obvious ideas are missing.

I think the biggest problem is enemies don't flinch or weaken with moderate damage. You get a good cut in, or even weirder you club them on the head, and they aren't phased and still fighting at 100% capacity. It makes you more dependent on stabbing, which is also overpowered if you just hold your sword out and analog move. Movement speed alone shouldnt be enough to penetrate.

I'd also like incapacitation with blunt so you have options for pacifism. Striking with your hilt doesn't seem to work btw.

The state of stealth is pretty bad. Guards are deaf and blind when you try to distract them but see you easily when sneaking in shadow sometimes.

Climbing doesnt give feedback to show you if your grip is successful, its too reliant on super jumping. Doesn't have a natural top ledge climb.

Not worried about magic use being fun though. They can't fuck it up.

Playing VRChat for the first time. I honestly can't get over how much I love the variety in models. I think this younger generation never got to play games when opposite sex avatars were still taboo. It made the games feel socially cohesive with reality, and the energy from people's characters felt correct. I don't know if my experience was uncommon, but I played in a wow guild where I only remember a single male playing with a female character, and we had real girls in our guild. It wasn't a fetish circle jerk sausage fest. I liked that guy as much as anyone else in our guild and never gave him shit for it though. I just wanted to point out he was forfeiting something valueable by doing that.

I think zuck saw this as a huge problem for his metaverse, and other than spying on everyone, that's why he tied it to real life identity. I just wish matching gender expression, and representing yourself and not your sexuality was maintained culturally. But you can't see what's wrong with being anime girl unless you've experienced it.

Having played other VR games with both male /vrg/ and non-/vrg/ users, most choose male avatars in other VR games despite using female in VRChat. I think there's a few reasons:

I did think about that, the consequences of not knowing someones physical appearance, background, or age, but I decided those were generally good things. Its nice you can play an MMO and not be treated differently because you're fat or ugly, or spoken down to because you're young, or racially stereotyped, etc unless you disclose these things. But on balance I just think games are worse not knowing gender. I think men and women treating each other differently has value to it, even though women have reasons to complain about the consequences sometimes.

I tried out quake 3 in VR and noticed there were no NA servers so I threw a few up on my VPS. Its been a while and I don't know what people play so I just used some stock gamemodes/map rotations, I'm open to suggestions. Q3Quest is just straight plain ioquake3 so it doesn't work with any mods unless you compile them into the client (good luck), instagib works since that's just change of configurable values but you needs the old unlagged version otherwise it will just fuck up in 6DoF. As for maps, lvlworld.com is your best source but keep in mind some of the maps will be too much for Quest to handle, look at the review to see if it mentions any performance problems or concers. If you want basic server config for FFA and CTF hit me up.

From what I played 2 weeks ago there were a couple different types of changes:
1. Where jumping completely changed the map and a new meta/balance was completely unknown since it was so shaked up
2. Where one side had the obvious highground advantage and could go to weird places that really were not good for the map

1 and 3 are fine to me, but can easily both go to 2 once figured out or a new exploit found.

Vanilla-like seemed like a good starting point, ideally they'd fit into the game without overshadowing the vanilla guns or being so disruptive that they trigger the desire to play modless Pavlov instead. I had thought to disable the duplicate M16/M4/AK but left them in to see what people think. There's a few more weapon mods I'm going to check out to see if they'd be good additions too so we can always add more back in.

The Tarkov mod while more varied is just so low quality in comparison. We should try it next week, if only to settle the discussion.

Tarkov guns are more interesting but less balanced. Everything up to about 1700 is extremely bad, and beyond that they get significantly better than vanilla. If we try them, I think vanilla guns should be disabled for that week because otherwise many of them are going to beyond useless.

This. If there's going to be a seperate day for tons of mods then we should try to play other modes too like WW2 PUSH on the smaller Day of Defeat maps. You can set mods to load on specific maps in the server's map list so it's possible to have a whole mixture of stuff. There's also a map vote screen mod that is coming out soon which would help root out the unpopular ones.

The guns are worse than jumping for me. I'd only want more if we have full control over them, rather than adding a load that so similar to existing guns that they essentially do nothing but add cosmetics and minor issues, eg: the AK-74 adds optics to the AKM, which the lack of was always one of its balancing factors, while also completely changing the recoil pattern to something much easier for a mere $200 extra. The controls are a bit awkward (No longer used to Onward style controller-oriented locomotion vs. headset oriented), interaction spheres are very small, and some of the QoL tricks such as a quick bolt cycling only worked on the HTC Vive and don't work on Index Controllers.

Not to mention the gun sounds are toy-like now...but it had 12 player multiplayer, a minigame shooting gallery with online hiscores for each individual gun, helicopters and four wheeled vehicles, an RPG, CLIMBING, working bipods, customizable holster spheres, and even a bow. All the way back in 2016

I'm more of an introverted type of person and don't like talking to people so much, but really enjoy playing games with someone instead. But I'm really hypocritical and will start to ramble off about something if it's a topic I like.
As an extension of this while I usually play alone, I almost exclusively play multiplayer games because singleplayer games feel a bit too lonely for me. A lot of times I rely on recruitment Discords to try to find people to play with. I bought Baldur's Gate 3 and then never went past Act 2 because I could never find a full 3 other people to play through the whole thing with and most people aren't really interested in that sort of thing. I get that most people would say you should play the game on singleplayer first for the story but the whole draw of the game for me is the co-op gameplay, same with DoS2.

I've never actually drank alcohol before, I'm 21 turning 22 in around 3-4 months. Maybe I'll try for my 22nd birthday or something but otherwise I feel kind of awkward for drinking just for drinking's sake and I'd feel a bit weirder for going out to the store and coming back with alcohol but that's just 'tism speaking.

Jandrovi has a reputation for his physics work but I'm not all that impressed with what I've seen so far (I've only tried the McLaren Senna and BMW M1). They're not bad, just not what some people hyped them up to be - FFB is too weak and not as responsive as the default Kunos cars. Assetto Drive is a payware modder who IMO is lagging behind current mod quality standards, his work isn't awful but none of it is worth money, especially when there are nicer quality car mods available for free nowadays. That said, it should be acceptable enough to mess around with. It may be better than the cars I've tested since he seems to have a preference for Porsches.
