No not really it's pretty much the same kind of game but shaken up with new zone features. Really good for me since I loved the first game and ITR2 is looking great; but it is the same kind of game.

for it to get to the same level as ITR1 is now. The forest map is fucking huge though. Basically two maps in one divided by the river. Also multiplayer is apparently going to be increased to four player max instead of just two like it is now. Lots to be done. The devs have always had a slow rate of updates. They do big content updates followed by several bug fix patches usually about a month or so apart. It will probably be years before "everything" is in.

Yeah every high priority mission is a big jump on the difficulty curve that teaches you a new thing about the game. That mission is the first long mission where you learn to pack fuckloads of ammo and supplies. It also taught me to make stashes in the radius for resupply so I could carry less and move faster. Only trash like empty boxes disappear on the tide. Everything else you drop stays.

Most money should come from artifact selling. I recommend curating a small list of lightly or barely defended fields and hitting them over and over. Taking missions spawns enemies and the rewards are often shitty.

The second area has 3 or so good fields that aren't super heavily defended. A suppressed GSh can clear the defenders pretty easily, or just non suppressed and have stuff run at you. The gas mask area, the electrical one, and there's one near the north. Just avoid the brick building since the difficulty of fighting your way inside isn't cost effective. there's two easy silver chest locations too; they don't awlays spawn in their areas but there's always a chance. The tower has a chance to spawn, and there's a chance to spawn at the broken helicopter. Probably some other areas but I forgot. You can back a good 5-10k profit per tide just clearing the second area's artifacts and silver chests.

If you have a long range weapon, the quarry is good money. A couple of good artifact fields, and there's an electrical field justoutside. You can run down AND UP the slope near spawn you just gotta find the path since it's janky.

One place to check every tide is also the silver chest at the substation; in the village there's a flag that leads to the train area. go through that and immediately head left and you'll find a substation that sometimes has a silver chest; and you can often find a weapon there or some misc shit to sell. Then there's a field nearby that's not proteccted by mimics; there are a couple weaker enemies there though.

tl;dr hit the low resistance areas over and over, side missions are kinda crap

Yeah I had trouble because I brought only two mags for the M4, with the third in the weapon. I ran out pretty quick, then switched to my pump shotgun and ran out of that too, and my M9 did pretty much nothing against the armored enemies, so I had to run. Silver chests are like 50:50 weapon or just mags. The weapon is often undesireable but they usually spawn orange, not red, so you can clean it up real cheap and sell it.

Save your expensive AP ammo for armoured guys, and save your expensive rifle ammo for larger engagements. Pistol ammo is pretty cheap and will carry you through a lot of otherwise not dangerous fights. 9x18 is basically free because you'll find it everywhere.

I always burned through pistol ammo faster than I found it; I'd recommend having two pistols. One GSh-18 to burn the cheap ammo, then a M9 to actually operate with. You'll find ammo for both; and that still won't be enough. You'll be buying. Damage doesn't really matter if the bullets never hit the target.

I needed to make an EA account (I would recommend a unique EA account per game) but apart from that it ran just fine, no third party loader like ubisoft. At least not one that popped up. It's probably kernelmaxxing my PC, but so is VRC, so is pavlov, so is everything else. Gaming PCs are born compromised and I just cope by segmenting it off.

Automated mixer/speed dating event. you go through that door, it sends you to a room with one other person and a bunch of stuff to stimulate a conversation. Five minutes later, another room and a new person. No duplicate partners. This continues until you leave or have seen everyone. It's broken up by group rounds, game rounds, intermissions etc.

The event happens every six months. Yesterday we had over 150 people participating at the same time split between the NA and EU instances.

If it's like Dirt Rally, the login is needed for multiplayer club stuff. In Dirt it was a Codemasters account instead and you use could use Steam login which didn't consistently work, but the site you had to use to manage it kinda sucked, so I'm not surprised they just rolled WRC into their existing Racenet thing instead.

A person with clear list will be able to match with just about anyone, a person with two people remaining needs higher priority.

you can't mix 3.0's with ultimates; ultimates have many downsides like all inside-out tracking does, so probably just stick with 3.0's. you can use any vive trackers with any non-vive headset as far as im aware, at minimum they work with the index and meta headsets for sure.

I tried VRCDoom and it was amazing, until I got a few levels in and the framerate dropped to single digits. The steamvr setup background kept appearing over the game while the CPU was maxed out. Is there a way to make it playable? Do I have to full clear every level to keep the number of objects down?

It's buggy and old and performs badly, but it shouldn't be performing at single digit fps.

I had it running at okay fps even on my 1060 and 1700 Ryzen when i first released the world in 2019. Maybe something changed in today's vrchat patch and is breaking it, i wouldn't be surprised. I'll check tomorrow. If it's dead it's dead though, the components it depends on won't survive five years of unity version updates.

Only performance advice I'm certain of in the Doom world is DO NOT use holoport locomotion you will drop to 1 fps because it uses old pre-udon camera tricks to get the player's position and holoport decouples the player from the camera

I'll test it out more, since it's still a lot of fun despite the bugs. Leaning around walls to ambush monsters while dual wielding a chaingun and shotgun is exactly what VR needed. I was using smooth stick movement with snap turning. All the level changes dropped me below the map and I fell through the map on elevators sometimes, so I had to respawn a lot. Camera leak confirmed. I replicated the holoport performance loss camera bug while using smooth movement, in normal gameplay, by wallhacking into secret rooms by jumping into walls and physically walking to the other side of walls in real life, decapitating my avatar in the process. It can also be replicated by respawning a lot while moving. The effect is a cumulative leak that keeps lowering fps the more I do it. One of my controllers ran out of battery, so that's it for today.

I also tried punching mobs with a vket sample avatar for a while before going back to read the instructions about how the doom guy avatar does fist damage. VRChat niggers still won't let me upload yet.

I have pcvr and some games but I bought a shit ton of stuff standalone for my quest 2, library is probably 4 times the size of my pcvr library and I prefer playing the standalone games because they work well enough for me.
