Playing it on Quest (Rift version is still downloading), so far it feels good, some small stutters and minor animation bugs but nothing serious. My only real complaint is that the combat so far is pretty brain dead, parry, stab, dodge, waggle, rinse and repeat.

To add to this - parrying seems to be complete crapshoot, sometimes swinging your weapon against the incoming attack won't register, sometimes it will but won't stun the enemy but ultimately it doesn't matter because you can just block and waggle most non-boss encounters.

Some more Behemoth thoughts:
- combat is really fucking boring, unreliable parry combined with enemies telegraphic their attacks means optimal combat strategy is to just dodge and poke with sword
- stabbing is general is OP as fuck, you can cheese every boss just by stabbing because AI only blocks swings
- bows are completely useless once enemy is aware of you, they will reliably dodge every shot
- throwing daggers on the other hand are broken, they autoaim if thrown from right distance and oneshot common mobs
- secrets are just some story fragments and occassional health or stamina upgrade
- grappling hook clearly tries to copy Bamham but it's controls really bad
-behemoth fight is fun but sometimes it's hard to tell where you're supposed to climb
- loading times are attrocious
- on Quest at least the game audio doesn't feel positional at all
- at least you get a dragonslayer sized sword but swinging it eats half of stamina

All in all it looks great and plays alright but this really needed at least another month or two in the oven, it obviously got rushed to make it for the holidays seasson.

Yep. Some more tidbits:
- story is... there, it exists, I'm not really paying attention to it and it obviously doesn't matter at all
- you can lock yourself out of some secrets by solving puzzles of other secrets if you do things in wrong order but it's just more story shit you'll miss
- there's some abilities to upgrade but most of them aren't really important outside the unskippable story ones
- levels are linear as fuck aside from small branches that lead to secrets
- invetory is alright, 4 weapon slots, stats scroll and medicine pouch, you can stack daggers and medicine
- I honestly can't tell if different weapon versions of same type have different stats, it feels like they do more or less the same damage
- platforming is alright but there isn't enough of it outside behemoth fight
- stamina really serves no purpose outside of being annoying and preventing you from cheesing fights completely
- hulk smash power is fun to use at least
- best part of combat is using enviromental traps but there isn't enough of them

It took me about 2 hours to get to the first behemoth and that was the best part of the game so far, everything in between just felt like plain filler with nice scenic views. Again it's not really bad by any means, it actually feels like proper game and most of the problems could be improved or fixed with some patches but coming after Bamham and Metro it just feels underwhelming.

I finished downloading the Rift version. Good news is that saves are synced and graphics definitely look nice, dynamic lights and high res textures. That's where the good news end.

I'm not sure if it's only the Rift version but holy shit there's insane LOD and pop-in all over the place, enemies ragdoll completely randomly or outright despawn after you load save and AI seems somehow even worse than on Quest, it's like it randomly fails to run the script when you interrupt its attack and mob just ends up standing in place doing nothing. Also the grappling hook sometimes just fails to activate.

For now, literally don't bother with Oculus PC version, no idea how Steam build is but if it's the same then don't even bother until patches land, it's obvious Quest version is the only one that received at least some testing.

I stopped playing the Beheslop for today, just before second giant fight, only after some 3 hours. Pretty sure I'll be finished with the game tomorrow, 6 hours maybe with bit of luck. I finally figured what it is that makes the combat so boring and it's the healthbar. Sure, you can disable the healthbar in settings but it's still there, you're still dealing set amount of damage and aside from breaking shield of some enemies the damage dealt has no effect on them until they die.
So you either score few critical hits with headshots or by abusing hulk mode or you just plink away at their healthbar slowly while it feels like you're doing nothing at all. The fact that once you get the magic weapons you can easily one or two shot most enemies with body stab and shield bearers can be easily cheesed with hulk mode dragonslayer just makes all encounters a boring slog.
Also it turns out parrying works, it's just exclusive to swords. Any other weapon type simply can't parry but except for one cryptic short popup tip the game never tells you this. And once you get the magic weapons that can't be lost and can be upgraded all the other weapons just become completely irrelevant except for throwing them in hulk mode for instakills.
So forget the "not a bad game, just needs patching" part of my previous posts, Behemoth is great giant fighting game with really shitty filler combat in between.

The boss fights are massive difficulty spikes and while it's kind of intentional it's jarring. For the skeleton boss with two axes the only real way to beat it is to cheese it. Find something like a tree or pillar it can chase you around. Actually that works with most bosses.

Once you get the hang of the damage cooldowns that game isn't so bad. Bosses are overtuned so their damage is pretty crazy and their attack patterns can be unintuitive to block and parry. It's a game that feels like you should be able to memorise how to beat enemies like you can with dark souls. Haven't played it enough to know if that's actually how it works.

Small project, but I got another use from the idea of multiboxing. The /a/ stream has been a bit of a technical difficulty to restream in to vrchat. The scrolling chat will explode the bitrate, so I though about splitting them. I got gpt to write a basic shader that makes the black area transparent, the first half is displayed with just an unlit, the second one used that custom shader. They are just overlayed. The hardest part was making the browser in OBS work with stream. I can't modify the HTML direclty, so I tinkered around with the custom CSS until i could remove just the video and background but leave the chat. thats the right half of the video behind the screen. The left half is just the stream with no chat. I'll package this up and put this in a few of my worlds.

There's no real settings to it. It uses AFR so it'll shift the games camera really quickly so you can get one frame in each eye, then it uses so very heavy compute to blend the frames together.
You can't run a high res because it'll shit itself, and the game TAA will cause ghosting because of the AFR so you'll see a permanent halo to everything. The "least worse" settings is using the latest FSR stuff since I believe it has some anti-ghosting stuff built in but you'll never EVER will get a clear image.
I personally managed to play about 15hrs of the game before giving up because it was unbearable. If you picked it up because of some youtube grifters then make sure to send them death threats.

I recently got a 2nd ethernet port for my PC and have my most powerful router exclusively on my PC. It does nothing else then throwing funny VR images onto my Quest Pro.
It always felt like that the latency and the image quality was suffering when I (for example) download shit at full speed via Steam at the same time. With this new setup (dedicated Internet router + dedicated VR router) I don't have those issues anymore, at all.

Literally this was my situation a couple of days ago.
PC was connected to the internet via that router. Only channel active was the 6GHz channel. While playing I noticed "lag" and "compression artefacts".
These issues were solved when I used the 6GHz router as my dedicated VR streaming router, and used a different one to connect to the internet. I'm talking about a separate ethernet port in your PC.

I replayed the already unlocked behemoth fights because the slog towards finale was just unbearable and guess what - both fights bugged out. AI, combat phases, adds spawns, the attacks it has to do for you to progress, just completely broken.
Second one literally died immediately after loading the save. You basically can't even replay the fun parts without shit breaking down.
Fuck this game, fuck Skydance and fuck all the shilltubers praising this broken garbage. There were all the ingredients for greatness and they wasted it all.

More sloppa review, it's Slot Car VR, what a slot. This is really simple MR game in concept, you build toy racing tracks in your room, you put model car on it, finetune its stats and then you just pick up the classic racing track controller and speed along.

Building is pretty simple, you just drag and pull the edge of track around, there's loops and fences and decorations you can place around and several car models. You can save and share your built track online and there's even basic multiplayer where you build and race together with friend.

It's simple concept but it really scratches that "things I wish I had as a kid" itch, now you can build massive racing track all over your room, save it and play with it anytime without the actual hassle of physical racing track. It's simple, cheap and ultimately fun. Here's my track on my bed, deal with it.

One more sloppa for tonight, Plastic Battleground. Imagine the old Army Men games but VR. You get several sandbox maps, few campaign missions and tutorials of plastic mayhem.

Core gameplay is plastic army men sandbox, you can spawn soldiers, weapons, tanks, helis, barricades, random household items, you get the idea. All maps are some normal rooms with toy battleground, you can smash and crash things while in human mode as you wish. Once you want to go down to it you can switch to soldier mode and start shooting, capturing objectives, grappling around and driving tanks.

Physics are top notch here, there's plenty of "plastic gore" with soldiers falling apart after getting shot, surprisingly nice voice acting of soldiers barking orders, guns shooting, grenades exploding. AI is simple but it does its job, troops advance in small formations and use their guns intelligently, bazookamen will focus vehicles and helis.

The webm really doesn't do this justice, I expected to play this for 10 minutes and refund but instead I spent good two hours just messing around, it's cheap and gets updated almost every week with more maps and props to spawn in. Guns are pretty punchy, sound great and honestly are much better than many big name VRFPS. If you at all liked the old Army Men games or just loved playing with toy soldiers this is easy recommend.
TL;DR - Army Men VR sandbox with really good shooty parts
