I didn't do any fad diet, just a food scale and log to make sure I was on target for calories. I think that's why I've been able to largely stick to the diet this time. my setup was the soft strap + a silicone back bit from AMVR for a quest 2 + routed ksc75s along the loops and cable velcroes i had to manage it
looked like shit but was comfortable, just a bit floppy to take off/put on
now my hard strap has the same comfortable driver mounting but the take off/put on procedure is much more stable
to clarify: i'm just using the clip-on plastic bit that comes with them on the audio strap's drivers now and detached them from the arms
waiting on a fabric foam replacement to arrive so I can see how that is, but the default foam is fine for how light the overall setup is
if I could remove the arms without a lot of destructive work that'd be nice to lower weight, but they did not make it that easy to do so

For the audio strap itself? I haven't really seen any kind of mod that is able to replace the drivers.

I went to one world where you walked through this place with monsters captured in cells. But beyond that I'm not seeing what is so great. It is very similar to Horizon Worlds on the Quest 3, but that seems more game like.

The way it normally works is that you make friends in the big public instances, or join Discords and events that they host, and then once you've got a smaller friend group, you go to the more niche worlds to fuck around in. There's some game worlds that are pretty popular because they don't require interacting with the other people you're playing with, which is good for publics because of Quest kiddies and Desktoppers who make up a good portion of the public userbase, but fundamentally VRC is just Discord in VR where it's what you make of it and the primary draw is the other people, not playing games with randoms.

What was supposed to be a cashgrab in the height of the 2016-2017 early VR hype (you can tell because it still uses Vive controllers in all of its menus since it predates the Quest, Index, and even the Rift's own motion controllers) ended up being a solid VR shooter with tacked on multiplayer. It had no right being decent since it was a port of a mobile FPS game, but to this day it has some satisfying gameplay in VR. What isn't fun about it is that since it was early VR, it was still trying to get locomotion right. While it binds the motion to the offhand like Onward (RIP 2016-2019) when Dante found out that using the off-hand's direction as the movement vector, it still has acceleration. It even has manual reloading (and pump shotgun and bows!), something that Arizona Sunshine, another VRFPS released around the time, didn't have. Having had VR for 9 years now I found myself getting motion sick after coming back to this game. Still fun. Wish other devs could look at what worked here for a single player FPS game

Wall is just very slow. Against a good volatile player they'll become more of a hindrance than a help because they can get knocked over onto you by an airborne cube. I think most of the hyper mobile players will get around them and knock you back into them too. Once in a while you'll come across a player that will know exactly how to counter what you're doing and repeatedly shut you down until you learn how to cope or how to do something else. It's going to be really strange when the quest port hits and there are a tonne of noobs all at once. Right now it probably the best time to be exposed to high level skill. There will likely be a shift in general playstyle coming with it so more skills will prepare you better for the unexpected.
