i love virtual reality!

Why do you have to be a booth avatar or get kicked? Why does a 4chan meet have a dress code? Isn’t this website all about freedom? Aren't we all allowed to have differing opinions? What if the booth style isn’t my style? Can I not hang out? I know this is an anime website. There is a board for western cartoons and anime and they coexist on this website. I think western avatars and booth avatars can be in the same instance. I know people don’t like the big nose/lips. I don’t like the big tit cow avatars. I think they’re ugly. I don’t think they should be kicked though. Doing that is just power tripping and trying to enforce conformity.

Not sure if there's any official data on it, but I remember having them in line around 15cm from each other, and some of my issues went away once I've spaced them roughly 50cm apart through my entire desk. Anon also has a point with 2.4ghz network, the less noise you make, the better. You can also try simply putting receivers in different positions, maybe you'll win interference gacha in one specific location.

From my experience, nearly all of my tracker issues ended up being radio-related, so I'm kinda obsessed on this point. Not sure if it'll also help you, but I've seen multiple VR setups with puck issues and in the end it was always radio.

One more idea if you have a lighthouse-based headset, but this one's pretty much voodoo. Disconnect and unpair everything, connect headset only, pair controllers so they're using headset radio, afterwards connect puck receivers to their USB ports, and then pair vive pucks. All of that would be done to guarantee that pucks are using puck radio dongles, rather than headset. Pucks can connect to built-in headset controller receiver, and your knuckles can connect to puck dongles. There's no reason this would cause any problems, but if you have energy to spare, you can try and see if your pucks will start behaving any different once they're guaranteed to be on their own receivers

I Anon, have finally narrowed down my options for my first and hopefully last PCVR headset.

I'm likely gonna save up money and wait for Steam Frame for half a year and then buy the best option at that point.
Speculative best option is Stream Frame, with speculative inside out tracking, wireless option and a price of around 1200e.

Real-life best option with my 5070 TI is Pimax Dream Air SE, with inside out tracking, but no wireless option and a price of 1200e.

Best option if I am too scared of the Pimax lottery and want to straight up waste 800e because this one is too powerful for my 5070 TI, is Play for Dream. Has inside out tracking, has wireless option and costs 2000e.

Thanks for listening and helping me through this process. In the end I realized foveated rendering is a meme that I don't have to worry about because it will never be widely adopted across the board.
Now I only care about being able to connect to a PC, having inside out tracking, and PREFERABLY a wireless option aswell.

I've only tried wireless once, but I think I could get used to it if I wouldn't have any alternatives. Tried it in VRC and moving body around had this weird subtle feeling of watching a movie of yourself in headset rather than controlling your character directly - but it wasn't really all that terrible, it was a very slight feeling that I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice if they'd start their VR with wireless. I don't think I could use a wireless headset for racing because cars often demand tiny little corrections based on what you see at the moment, but I could probably play Pavlov in a wireless headset and, given the game ping, it most likely wouldn't feel all that much worse. One thing I'd be scared of would be compression rather than latency, couple times I've heard wireless anons saying that they can't really enjoy certain worlds due to compression issues/too much detail/postprocessing that rubbed compression the wrong way.

But cables don't bother me all that much, so I'll stay with my flawless connection and no compression issues instead. To each their own. also, already stepped on my brand new bsb2 cable hard enough to rip it out of headset

We plan to make each video around 1-3 minutes long and the videos will mainly be focused around events that have happened in the divegrass tournaments in the past mainly involving the /vrg/ team in some way.

So as an example, we have a few skits written out already and one of them would be based on a match we had a few years ago vs the Dead By Daylight team, where an extremely rare engine glitch happened and Custom Avatar somehow teleported across the field.
The skit/video would then be of Custom Avatar in the locker room after the game, then the DBD serial killers dressed in leather and shit from the other team come in, queue "Hey buddy I think you got the wrong door, leather club's two blocks down", they accuse him of cheating/hacking/unsportsmanlike conduct for teleporting during the match, and then horrifically kill him for it.

Basically most of the videos will be something like that, referencing a match and an event that actually happened, and then making up a funny skit in VR that we film related to it.

I usually keep my cable under the angle where it doesn't bother me, it's still on the floor but it kinda hangs on the side using its own weight and the general position of rest of the cable on the floor. Why would you want it to work with VR controllers?

If you want to use normal controllers try Dirt Rally 2. Works well in VR. If you're doing racing 'sim' games you should get a wheel (g29 used is best entry level), and the rest take a normal controller since it's like arcade racing or something.

I really recommend gamepad in this case. Turning the wheel with controllers without a place to lean your hands on is really, really less than optimal, it feels less like driving a car and more like controlling a horse with a harness. It's not precise, it's not comfortable, there's nothing good about it. Gamepad might sound boring and non-immersive, but I've played DR2 on gamepad couple times and while it did feel a bit off compared to a wheel, it was still fun vidya time, and after a while I've gotten used to the uncanny feeling of sitting in a wiggly room that you move around with gamepad controls.

VTOL works because you don't need to make precise maneuvers, funnily enough. Everything in the cockpit as far as buttons works great, but the fact that you're not trying to make precise adjustments to the throttle nor with the stick is why it works, because you can easily see if you're getting a little unintended movement as a result of the stick being pointed the wrong way and then course correct. Racing doesn't work nearly the same, and also speed is something much more finnicky then jet thrusters where you're pretty much only going to use max normal, off, and afterburner.

I love flying VTOL, and even the VRC prefabs that work under a similar premise are pretty decent, but driving in VRC is a miserable experience if you're trying to do anything other then go straight down a road and even that can involve some fishtailing.

Well, this game feels a bit like a smartphone title, it has some weird head smoothing thing that you get used to after a while (imagine that your head moves 1 frame behind what overlay does), and it's as simplified as it gets, but playing for the objective on a larger map with vehicles is really nice, and also vehicles are meaningful gameplay-wise. There's nothing particularly offensive about it, gunplay isn't too far away from contractors, didn't experience any bugs, also seen a couple of people putting their team role to a good use and that looked great for gameplay. Got a feeling it'd be tons of fun with all of the coordinated effort, especially if we'd have this usual pavlov 10v10 worth of anons in there.

I would say it's in line with other Triangle games. Simplified gun interactions and very flat UI but movement and shooting is polished and maps are balanced. Compared to alpha build this feels much closer to finished game so they're definitely doing lots of work there.

The game is barely working dogshit. PCVR has disgusting lag which is hard to explain, at first I thought I was dropping frames, but frame times were perfect 1.5ms. But after a while game buckbreaks you and stop paying attention to it.
Fell through the map something like 20 times. Everything feels like having 2 seconds delay, guns feels like shit. There is no point shooting in the body at all, hs basically insta kill.

It's basically bad company 2, but made by retarded indians on a budget targeting android phones, yet as bad as it is, it still scratches that itch, so it can get addictive. If you know, you know.
It is objectively dogshit though. During the match some questlet said "Oh, they made it so much better", so I'm afraid to even imagine what our standalone questpigges were eating during the first beta.

That was as painfull as the AC tunnel runs. If it's not your wingmen crashing into you, it's the tie fighter chasing you that magically wittle down your shield or the geometry instagibbing.
They didn't have the technology for checkpoints in the 90's but hot damn this mission would have needed one since it's a 10min runback to the core every time.

Overall I'd only recommend the mod and games to people really itching for space combat sims and if you own a HOTAS. A gamepad technically would work but needs a lot of tinkering and there's genuinely like 30-40 situational keybinds you need to use.

Squadrons is a more straight forward experience and much less frustrating than this one since it's full of bug, edge cases and scripting issues but this one has 50 something missions that will take a long while to clear out.

ITR1 does have the 1.0 build in the steam betas which has completely different balance and a single huge map so it's essentially like getting two games in one. I can't stand H3 because the controls are such ass but if you like shooting sandboxes it might be for you.

Deadly Delivery is fine if you like Lethal Company but unless they add massive amount of stuff to the dungeon generator and improve the layouts it creates I can't see it being fun for more than few hours.
If they improve that and it doesn't cost more than 10-15 bucks then it's okay-ish party game.
