Is the gasket cloth?
I found that cleaning mine in a washbasin full of water with cheap HOTEL soap (I don't know why it works) works wonders. Give it a good scrub with your fingernails.

Also, do not ever leave it soak in the water for too long - the glue will just "disconnect" from the plastic and you just ruined the entire gasket.

You can detach it and soak it in cold soapy water for a while. Just make sure it dries fully. Also I say cold water because hot water will congeal the proteins from your skin flakes into it and make them harder to get out. Wash it like you would blood stains. Also would recommend getting a cloth cover for it. The leather/silicon ones just make my face sweat to fuck and are extremely uncomfortable even though they're a lot easier to clean.

There's something about the MMORPG formula that doesn't work with current gen box-on-face VR headsets. Zenith tried, Eldramoor is going to try again and probably fail. My working thesis is that it's because the activities that make up a "classic MMO" aren't fun when you actually have to do them physically, vs slouching in a chair and clicking hotbars. Both the average MMO player's physical stamina and the hardware stamina (headset/controller batteries) work against it.

People do still make VR games with the parts of an MMO that still work, i.e. PVE dungeon combat in roguelike framing (dungeons of eternity, ancient dungeon, etc), or PVP in extraction framing (exfil zone/tabor/maybe reave once it comes out). They leave out (sometimes) the persistent grind/progression part, and eschew the public social matchmaking (aka lining up for amusement park rides) aspect for menu matchmaking and/or lobby browser. Which some modern flat ""MMOs"" do too of course.

I think it'd be more interesting to have an SS13/darkrp style VR game, where still get complex player interactions but the scope is limited in time/space to something that fits current VR. something like ~1hr sessions with ~30 people and some level of RP expected. Essentially like the LARP groups that already happen in vrchat.

Their newer made maps don't have that battleroyale import feel. The newest map, released this recent weeks old wipe, is underground and close quarters, with a new trader and quests. This wipe also released a gunsmithing feature that allows for gun modification autism from mounts, dust covers, barrels, multiple sights like canted, grips, muzzles, stocks/tubes, blinding flashlights/lasers, etc. Highly recommend giving it another shot!

There's much less of this in vr exfil shooters simply because sitting in a bush in vr is fucking boring. Most rats in flat shooters just look at their phone or have some other thing they can do while waiting for someone to come by. In VR you have to physically sit there and either hold your hands up or get lucky. It's something I encountered very rarely in my hundred or so hours of tabor. Shit like clipping into the wall or glitch exploiting was more likely.

Right, though I think there there is something fun or at least """comfy"" about watching a little character on screen do something repeatedly for hours while you direct it with minimal physical effort. Same with the whole farming game genre. I think there's actual potential for like a "king simulator" VR game where you're still physically in the word but you get carried around on a palanquin and order your subjects to do stuff and watch them toil, or battle or whatever. A variant of the RTS/god game genre of course, but god games kind of suck in VR when you have to crane your neck to look down at your subjects all the time.

Tabor had a brief window of fun where loot was super easy and even dying to bullshit every couple runs didn't matter since you were hauling out way more stuff than you were losing. Most exfil shooters lean towards just making it annoying though.
