Why exactly is it so critical that there's an official "/vrg/" instance? Why not just normalize a bunch of people making their own instances and everyone posting them in the thread, and they can be moderated however the host sees fit? And with a mutual understanding between hosts/groups that no one is trying to "steal" people from anyone and that it's just nice to have different instances with different vibes? One of them could boot all trannies and randos, another could be more loosely moderated, another could have 20 mahjong tables, etc. And if everyone ends up in one or two of them at the end of the night, that's just democracy working.

Personally I am fine with a hundred instances posted and hosted here as long as it is posted here. The issue arises when it is not posted here

I swapped my Quest Pro's battery - went from 40m lifetime to a little over 2H which was about as much as it originally had.

The procedure was surprisingly easy knowing its meta, but probably because the only other thing on the back is the tensioner and that's a separate compartment from battery, so you dont really have to mess much with it

The problematic part is finding a replacement battery though - There are knockoff batteries but for some reason the chinks made them have 14 pin connector instead of 16 pin connector all quest pros use.

VR, by the current library available through Steam, and consoles like PSVR and Meta Quest, are too dangerous in real life. This will most likely be my last new years I celebrate in vrc, but most definitely the last one I will celebrate with vrg.
The whole group has changed into something I do not recognize anymore and I do not feel comfortable at all in the vrg events or instances I once cherished. Too much drama, too much power grabbing, too much schizo posting and too much exhaustion from trying to give an impulse of what I would like to see more. I just bought isanai nuku like a retard just for the mouth, honestly probably the easiest option. The setup in her seems to be that all of these mouths are stored inside of her head (just like meme arrow eyes for a lot of avatars) and blendshapes control whether they move out of the head. I'm just going to save the mouth as a seperate fbx and add it inside of my avatars head and cover her actual mouth with this mouth when I trigger the expression. Never done this before so it will probably be annoying, but it doesn't seem *that* difficult.

pulled my shit together, finally popped open the base station that died and found that the lens that is usually glued to the motor that houses the diode, just got flung, and got stuck under the motor.
