You still have to do the story in co-op. That said I was tempted to get to sec 3 in a multiplayer save and make a bunch of loadouts ready to go in case anyone wanted to drop in to just play the game for a bit. SEA explore is like daytime eu on a Sunday you don't need a neet to attend it. Maybe the Wednesday hangout you do though lol

Done with the game, 6/10. Best parts were the more crafted TOP missions when you're not in the passage and no one is talking. Ending level was good, brought together everything and provided great avenues for sniping from a distance. Some of the culling issues also made themselves more than apparent with giant blobs of rock just not rendering but still blocking bullets. Performance was also jittery compared to the rest as well probably due to all the junk objects rendering, I definitely needed to see those shelves full of books. Final run of missions in the radius with the SR-25 was a breeze and only used a hundred rounds. Choice at the end was BS I didn't care about so I went with the funny one. Though some parts of the game were tedious it's definitely a single player experience, with encounter sizes in the open being pretty small and CQB being pretty tight and one note I don't think I'd gain any joy from co-op, especially starting the story again. If you could start co-op in post game it could be interesting but you'd both be overpowered and probably kill things before your partner spots them. It's an ok game, took up 40 hours of my time, and there are no VR games.

You can put the ammo box holder on your chest rig too, so you don't have to grab the backpack to refill your ammo.

The difference between a short barrelled and long barrelled rifles are pretty negligible in the same class besides the longer one increasing the muzzle velocity. Even then 600 m/s Vs 900 m/s only shaves a third off travel time and you really notice it when trying to move about in cluttered environments.

Yeah I kept a box of 100 on my hips where a pistol used to be, but I was too used to grabbing the backpack at that point.

Listening out for enemies fidgeting was also pretty neat taking your time to properly clear instead of rushing in headfirst is pretty rewarding. By the end I could differentiate the fidget of the armoured enemies.

Even if you don't care about all the FPS tanking prettyslop user-made worlds I'd say there are still at least a handful that are worth visiting alone. Otherwise base VRChat offers nothing to the socially stunted who need some form of mechanic or interactive feature to carry their interest and presence.

This means that in a group setting your enjoyment may be heavily reliant on people actually populating the custom worlds with interesting things instead of just sitting around in a hot tub.

It tops out at 100 nits because that's a hard to reach minimum target for any headset. You don't want to go dimmer because you'd be lower than the SDR spec and it looks really unrealistic. It's not like the frame can do 300 nits and they casually leave it on 150 like any other device.

I hope the persistence is user adjustable. It's on an 8% duty cycle, so I naively think it would be 200 nits at 16% and 300 nits at 24%. Some people aren't sensitive to it. But it would be nice to have higher brightness for flat games, video, and desktop.

I went in expecting a Unity asset flip slop, and I was still heavily disappointed. The gameplay is fucking terrible as your normal physics based melee and guns against zombies, VR controls are a way worse from the standards set by Alyx/Contractors/Pavlov which should be shamelessly copied at this point, the menus to switch VR controls technically exist but are useless because there's no ability to change rotational speed up from like 3 degrees a second, and despite looking like absolute dogshit, I gave up even bothering after I walked into a second where my 4080 Super dropped to 5 FPS because I don't even fucking know, I honestly feel like it must have been mining bitcoin or something. Only interesting moment was getting jump scared by zombies that speed run down stairs because the dev is a retard and didn't include Z axis speed in however he's limiting their speed while I was staring at my inventory trying to dick with it.

ITR, but Fallout instead of Stalker. Absolutely zero gameplay and only lets you just walk around your home base, couldn't even buy a gun from the market to see how it felt to control. The bat I picked up and swung around had the B&S physics based feel to it with weight making it travel behind your actual hand. Inventory was a backpack like ITR that you couldn't drop, and a plate carrier ala Exfil Zone, with a PDA with functional menus showing that you're going to have SPECIAL style stats. Good atmosphere though, ran well, and the VR controls were both largely decent and had the modern level of customization.
5/10 with a big asterisk that it actually could be good at some point, it's just so early that it's impossible to tell beyond the dev actually understanding and having played VR games.

Find a DAW you like and pipe your mic in through it, modulate it in the DAW however you like, and take the channel as output for VRC's mic. If you don't have stuff set up in a way your pc is recognizing software out as a valid mic input you can use a software passthrough like voicemeeter banana (?I think that's it?
