What is this?
A celebration of anon’s varied groups and activities.
For one day /vrg/ turns into a full blown school festival, with rooms, booths, attractions and little corners of chaos all hosted by the different groups and friend circles around the community.

Come wander the grounds and visit what anons have cooked up.
Games, exhibits, hangouts, performances, themed rooms, comfy spots, weird ideas, good ideas, dumb ideas made real.
The whole point is to let every part of /vrg/ show its face and make something fun for everyone else to enjoy.

If you’ve ever wanted to host something, decorate a room, run a booth, make a club attraction, show off your group’s gimmick or just contribute to the general festival atmosphere, this is the event for it.
Big or tiny projects, polished or scuffed projects, they all have a place in a school festival.

This is both a social event and a showcase.
A chance to see what all the different corners of /vrg/ are up to, meet people you don’t normally bump into and enjoy an entire map full of anon-made activities all in one place.

I wanted quest pro 2 and unfortunately Galaxy XR is not that at all. apps, apple like experience, google earth - non of that i’m interested in. I mean, i need just a PCVR headset for social VR, i don’t care about anything at all, except good lenses, screens, high fps, face+eye tracking and comfort. That is also why i wait for Steam Frame. I dream about being able to switch off all the meta trash and have nothing running but connection to my PC. i would need to buy / diy face tracking, but it feels like an ok thing.

I did the distraction pack
The minigames are kind of meh. They're 10 minute games really, the only one I found annoying was the trogdor one since it had regenerating village houses and they annoying regenerated fast enough to be annoying.
I did like the intro, foxhunt, and basement toys since it felt like a couple of strongbad shorts and the toys were nice to get more stuff out of the environment.
The course was specifically themed around the town in which strong bad lives so it was more 'look at this from the series' rather than a compelling course. Oh well.
The hole-celebrations got annoying after just a couple.
Overall, it was only fun for me since I watched all the episodes many years ago.

That's the feeling I got playing the course last night. I didn't watch much of it back then, so the course didn't really do much for me.

I actually liked that the course was very simple and basic. It reminded me of Tourist Trap in a way where almost all of the holes could be a real place on the Boardwalk or any other tourist destination. which is a nice change from the usually fantastical hole designs.

Do agree that it's mostly appealing to people who watched the series, but even as someone who mostly recognizes it in passing, the course was a nice little fun thing. Minigames are whatever

Every other modern "PC-only option" is far, far more expensive. (Bigscreen Beyond 2, Pimax, etc)
It doesn't matter if you don't care about standalone, those headsets are still the best especially for price to performance ratio, and they work with your PC over streaming.

You could look at a used Quest 2 or used Index kit as your other options that are potentially cheaper.
