The Fashion Club is a newly started (hopefully recurring) meet focused on making outfits that aren't the standard casual, sexy, tactical, etc. The goal is to build a wardrobe full of great outfits that are not skimpy(without good reason), follow a theme, and that you'd want to wear anytime and anywhere, including public instances. The given themes will be very vague or broad, allowing club members to freely interpret their design based on a loose idea to prevent uniformity(like bunny suits or tactical gear). Meets are planned for possibly once a month, once every two months, or once a quarter.

The theme for this first meet is Adventurer, typically the medieval fantasy type but any interpretation is allowed as long as the first thought by anyone on seeing this outfit is without a doubt "that's an adventurer". Don't forget your weapons, your trinkets, anything you might need on a quest. Bonus points for interactive weapon gimmicks. It does not matter how you made the outfit, if you got an outfit on booth, kitbashed, the final result matters.

There is no contest(unless the people want one). Show up, show off, see what others have made, take pictures.

Anyone is free to join to show off or spectate, but there is one restriction on the final design:
- You must be at least modestly dressed and show no skimpy features(that means no chainmail bikinis).

Half-Life 2 VR is done well enough that it feels like an official port.
Outer Wilds works really well too since atmospheric exploration games with puzzles are really well suited to VR. I'd second Big Walk for similar reasons, assuming you have a group to play it with.

I think that quest is either bugged, has no completion, or something. Just ignore it and you'll get the final mission as expected.

I would also personally recommend replacing the MP9 with a VSS even if it's just a sidearm. The MP9 fucking sucks, burns through it's durability way too fast with how low the bullet damage is, and you have a billion points on your vest for putting weapons and mags, especially if you're not rocking a bolt action and regular rifle on top of it, which is where the DMRs really shine as a combo with the VSS, especially since a long barrel DMR one taps pretty much everything while you can use the VSS for the few situations where it's unwieldy.

You can find a rail for the groza but you can't buy one. I recommend waiting until you find a rail or saving it for close combat. Personally the VSS and DMRs are the later stage weapons but an m4/AK-74/M is a good solid mid game weapon. enemies really hitpoint themselves up nearer the end of the game and you either need to hit more with a nice mid range or hit harder.

Pretty sure none of them do; the portal back to the starter area is from the start of the final mission zone.

I enjoyed the Mosin, but eventually it stops one tapping and then becomes much less satisfying. The 7.62 AR was my workhorse for the majority of the game, just don't bother chopping the barrel down because then it drops below useful breakpoints while the long barrel pretty much kills everything in one shot which invalidates the .338 gun entirely which was disappointing. Funnily enough, thinking back, the only thing the DMR didn't one shot was the last variant of the soldiers, which you only fight in CQB and I'm not gonna bring a bolt action to anyway.

Yea, that's why I advocate for the VSS + DMR combo, the VSS does a shit ton of damage which means one taps on most things, and you can set it to full rock & roll if you're willing to blow money to stay alive, and for everything that isn't building clearing, a long barrel DMR is the perfect weapon because it's both money and durability efficient. The economy being so fucked really kinda sucked, assault rifles really weren't practical to run as your primary weapon once you unlock the DMRs, because they were slower to kill which means taking damage when healing is expensive and also use more bullets which quickly adds up.

That said avoiding anyone with an orbit is usually the correct play 99% of the time and I can think of maybe 1 or 2 of them out of a dozen off the top of my head who actually ended up being a real person when I got to know them a bit better. Managed to get ahold of one of the meta neural wristbands. For those unaware, its a wristband released for the meta display glasses last year that works as a controller by reading the electrical impulses in your wrist as you do hand motions.

Did some reverse engineering work on the protocol and got it hooked up directly to my computer without needing the glasses. The on-board gesture processing and controls feel quite responsive. It has haptics which helps. You can get raw EMG data out as well but unfortunately direct finger pose is not something that the band itself handles, so that's something I'd have to bolt on later. Also it has an IMU onboard.

Maybe. Every vr ui is designed around laser pointers so this isn't a drop in replacement. This is effectively dpad + buttons.

If you were to go all in on the controllerless scheme, I think this does feel better to use than camera hand tracking. So there may be a place for it in the future.

so Gunman Contracts came out in early access today, game is really really fun john wick larp, visuals are great, there is even half life alyx levels of physical interactions with enviroment, enemy ai is agressive and moves fast even tho sometimes they are a little dumb, optimisation is quite rough for my pc (i get ~70frames on 2400x2600 per eye with my 4070 and 5700x3d on mid settings on avg) soundtrack fucking slaps, there is only like 2 hours of content story not counting endless replayabillity of said levels parts through customizable challenges. My biggest problem with the game is gun reload mechanics, game really forces you to use quick reload by getting your empty pistol to chest to auto insert a mag and press trigger for bolt release, you can also insert a mag normal way by grabbing said mag from around your chest area and then pulling the slide but it feels so fucking inconsistent it drives me insane, even tho i can understand reloads being clunky for rifles and shotties since they are very OP. Overall im pretty satisfied since i only paid like 10 eur for the game in my region

For producing reliable quality, even the really expensive cutting edge models struggle, the more reasonably priced models are a crapshoot, and I've never once had the efficient models that can run on a gaming PC produce something decent. If you just want something that makes tests pass, the good models can do it, but it will be shitty without tons of oversight to where it's likely faster to do it ye olde fashionned way.

But why would I do that when the machine will do it just as well and much faster with the exact same results?
