Ok, after autistically following frame forever I just found out on my own the dongle is limited to 250mbs and nobody tells you this, especially valve. I remembered steam link doing 350 and it does, but I had to use my router. I tested it out after the dongle was having 40ms ping spikes and my router wasn't. So I don't know why that's happening. Part of me wonders if valve should not have used USB because there's version issues, chipset vs cpu, windows power saving bullshit. This seems like a network job so maybe valve should've made the dongle connect with ethernet and passthrough internet if you only have one ethernet port.

At 350 with foveated streaming and CAS the picture is quite good, like what I expected. Alyx looks a lot closer to how I remember it for the first time on display port. Latency on the graph was 20ms, I think that's wireless+encode/decode and not motion to photon

Also after switching to the single router you realize multilink is fucking good at preventing periodic hitching and you should use it. But the defacto setup is the 250mbs dongle backed up by the router, when I want the router as the primary and dongle as backup. There's an option to reserve 6ghz antenna for the dongle and I can't remember if its default or I turned it on. I will try turning that off.

Yeah well fuck, I switched the router to 6ghz and the dongle is using 5ghz. Steamlink still won't go over 250mbps. Multilink is wasted because you could push higher bitrates and it doesn't matter if the dongle is in trouble some of the time because the router is the main character. It would also suck to have an expensive wifi 7 router and link to the frame but if you use the dongle for multilink it's 250mbps. I don't think you can multilink two routers right now.

Also this multilink development is kind of recent and it would be such a good out of the box way to get flawless wireless like this was supposed to be if they provided the option for two dongles. I still don't like connecting a dedicated router to my PC that windows is still trying to access the internet from when it's disconnected. It's also big and needs a power connection. Valve should make a wifi 7 dongle and the in box one is the 5ghz backup bitch.

I monkeyed around and I won. Shockwave nails are insane. AoE knock up that does a little bit of damage, stuns or at least staggers, and completely disables whatever part it hits. Doesn't emit on bosses but it'll still pin their arms to their sides and hitting the ground will still send shockwaves.
