VRChat's servers are being a little fucky right now. That'd explain it. In the meantime, I suggest Rec Room. For sure. It's the Wii Sports of VR, but it's all free, all online and fun as hell in my opinion.
If you're a rhythm game fan, SoundBoxing is a great choice. All of its beatmaps are community-driven through YouTube videos, so there's boundless content.
Finally, I'd suggest Waifu Sex Simulator. It's the best porn game out there, especially if you're into weebshit. It runs off of MikuMikuDance models so if there's an MMD model of it, you can fuck it.

If you're totally nuts, why not go for game development as well? Unity has a plethora of free plugins to get started with VR development if you're into that. Pic related.

So if you're putting a head on a body, put the head on the bone marked "head", where the other's was. Same for anything else, neck on the neck bone, hands on the hand bones, move the finger bones around to match, etc.

Now make it look right when you move around by actually assigning weight of the mesh to the bone. You're better off having a tutorial to look at to understand what's going on, but it's basically telling the programs that use the model "when this bone moves, this part of the mesh moves 0-100% with it".

Select the avatar in the Unity Heirarchy, the heirarchy is a list of objects in your scene, it'll probably include a camera and light and it should be visible by default. Once you've selected the avatar one of the windows in unity should show its properties, including a tranaform for positions, avatar descriptor, dynamic bones if there are any, yada yada. Most importantly for you it'll have a pipeline manager/blueprint id. Click on that and look for the option to detach blueprint. Presto.

Deleting the audio source on the avatar means no gunshot sound effect, which is a valid choice. Chances are you can just make a new one on your own because it worked fine when I uploaded it, unless I accidentally fucked up a setting while making the import file. If you do make the audio source you can probably just try the same settings I used, namely doppler off, 1 and 10 for hearing distance, and most importantly that I can remember audio set to 3d instead of 2d, which is on a slider for some god forsaken reason.

Thanks anon from the older thread who recommended moving the sensors opposite and ignoring the warnings - this setup resulted in 8'x5' of 360 tracking with no controller blindspots.
