Humans are inherently social animals and we crave attention from other people like nothing else. What happens when you put a large amount of socially depraved and attention starved anons together in a socializing VR game? Circlejerks. Relationships. Endless amounts of autism and drama. This is why people like Dot keep doing retarded shit to their stolen models. They want attention. They want everyone else in /vrg/ to look at them so that they can feel validated for the few seconds and minutes that the high they get lasts. Then it's all over and they go back to adding something new, equally retarded to their avatar to keep chasing that high, to keep everyone looking at them during the meetups. And as a direct result you have many people that get jealous of others when they recieve more attention and think to themselves that they want to be loved and feel like they're wanted too, so they do things to bring attention to themselves. Some people have gone so far as to spend $300 on trackers just so that they can be a slut and get attention that way.

It's actually comical how much of a social experiment VRChat is turning out to be. You could write a social study thesis on the things that go on here and come out an award-winner for it.

The "Anime Community Discord" (or what you guys call it, the 'inner circle') was originally a small group of friends who were (and still are) very, very close. We grew quite quickly, and had to figure out a way to retain that small group feeling and identity. We don't ostracise new people, nor do we give people shit for asking the same question a billion others already have. It takes some patience, but eh.

Either way, the OG friends from that group still hang out. We go to rooms together, chill out, etc. But some other members broke off into their own social circles, forming their own communities. There's some size limit to groups of friends like this, and once its broken, the groups naturally split off. It isn't BAD, its just how things are.

In short, find your best friends and hang out with them. If everyone does that, then circles naturally form and you end up with like-minded people. Yeah, you'll have "auxiliary" people who are trying to find their place, but either they'll absorb into your friend group (they fit in with you all!) or they go off to get closer with another group (your group is too big/doesn't mesh perfectly with them).

There's nothing wrong with all of this and how it works, but its how social groups work when there's very little systems in place to help organize them.

I want to believe, and I am actively trying to convince myself, that all of this talk of VRFus is just shitposting and people joking around.

But some of you seem to go above and beyond just shitposting, and it's not ironic at all, is it?

I was going to use this image to shitpost, but I decided against it.

Early December I met a cute mute who went to Tupper's anime theatre every week. I was looking for someone to cuddle with for the comfy memes and I found them.

Over the next couple months, the relationship developed and I learned a couple things; You're being naive if you think there is something inherently different about VRlationships from IRL. At their base, it's still involves two real life people with real life feelings.
Like a real life relationship you HAVE to use your grown-up words and ask or say things that are difficult. If you don't, you'll remain in some uncomfortable and possibly painful limbo where you're unsure of everything. This is especially true if you're interested in a cute mute. You'll have to do a lot of the heavy lifting because snail marker and discord is low bandwidth communication, a lot is lost in translation.

You also have to be honest with your self, and honest with them. Also, the mute barrier will have to be crossed eventually from one side or another if things continue moving forward.

I'm happier now then I've been in a really long time, and I have VRChat to thank for it. I really hope all you anons work things out with your current or potential VRfus.

Nazi-loli I think I have everything fixed and working, and I don't even need to give you another download to make shit work (I hope).
The audio issue was an easy fix, it had worked fine for me because I use an earlier version of the SDK from January, before the ONSP check was added. You just need to delete the ONSP component and I tested to confirm that this works, keeping the sound intact. Fortunately and unfortunately I discovered another problem, the gun wouldn't show up. This was a result of Unity being stupid and dumb and gay and fucking up the gun model settings.

With that you should be good, however I would recommend that you delete the old, broken prefabs for Erica and the C96 and replace them with working ones.

The only reason you need an adapter is because the standard cable is a combination Usb3.0 and 12v power. The modification is open the kinect, pull out the standard cable, solder your own power cable onto two spots and then plug a normal usb3.0 into the empty usb slot below it. There's a few tutorials on it, it's not difficult to do.

There are 6 tracking points possible: head, hands, hips, and legs. If you have a headset and controllers, that is three, then the other three will be emulated by the kinect. If you don't have controllers, then you can use kinect for hands positions too.
