Should I try and sell this thing for a vive set + das + 3 trackers, now that its price reduced?
I live in australia and the price on the official AU website hasn't come down yet

I can probably grab 400-500 AUD as I have 3 sensors and its in pristine quality as I've used it for less then 100 hours

I may or may not be alone in saying this but I don't find it annoying at all when you try to make contact or strike up a conversation or send a cute hello how was your day. That goes away with experience, the tracking in current VR hardware is fast enough that you can use the visual cues to keep balance, you just gotta get used to it.

What kind of movement did he let you use in VRchat? Normal smooth movement or the teleportation trail thing? That's important, you want to know if you're gonna have a bad time before getting VR and typical fps-style smooth movement, strafing and jumping are the biggest triggers for sim-sickness.

I made a lot of progress with social skills in this game, but I think I've plateaued. Almost anything I say goes totally ignored so it feels like I'm talking to myself most of the time. My angle was going to be more about human desire for experimentation and the fact that VR lets you take on nearly any humanoid (and to a degree non-humanoid) physical form you want and get mostly genuine reactions to it (at least within the realm of being an anime girl) so it's something that has both a lot of draw for and also will take a long time to get bored of. My time with the vive was super limited, but if you want an area like that and no walls I would honestly say that you should go for a vive. Rifts tracking and space would work fine with that, but you would need extended cords and a 3rd sensor for a space like that which might be to much of a hassle for the 140 dollar savings compared to vive+deluxe audio strap, even worst compared to the vive plus your own wireless/wired 3.5mm headphones which would only be 40 dollars more.
Tl;dr Vive unless you want to save 40 bucks + get a few free games.

Don't quote me on any of this shit. While this means that a rift is more viable, make sure you have at least 3 usb 3.0 spaces, 2 for 2 sensors and one for the head sets. Your third sensor can be usb 2.0 but if you make that one 3.0 I think the sensors work a bit better? Thats actually part of the reason I said normally. Most "gamer" grade motherboards and cases like changing up colors on the ports, but you can find it in the manual. A safe way to check is that if its not grey or black, its usally 3.0. There are always exceptions so look up your mother board, expansion card, and case manual to find out what ports are which on your devices!

I'm not a computer engineer so I have no idea what I'm talking about, but my current running theory has been that the heat building up around the GPU could somehow be fucking with the way it's connected to the HDMI port. The graphics card only really gets to 65C at the hottest and while that's not great I don't think it's in complete failure territory, either.
Might just be the card dying, but I bought the whole computer new last year so I'd hope it would last longer than this.
Looking at the bright side, it's a good way to moderate my playtime.

You could check the solder connection on HDMI port to the card. Sometimes solder gets cracked over time, and thermal expansion can move things around and cause intermittent contact.
If that's the issue it's a pretty simple fix, either RMA the card or reflow the connection yourself.

It could easily be an overvoltage in your USB controller. I can't think of a single reason why anyone would correlate GPU temperatures to headset temperatures. It usually depends on the power draw of the headset itself, which it's getting from the USB connection.
