I kinda love it, VRchat has lit a fire in me that hasn't been there for years since I was in college. So, thought I'd shave this info since I was doing some frankensteining. If you have something like an identical pair of gloves that are too wide for your character or earings from another model etc. here's what I do
1. Have your gloves aligned on the Y and Z axis to where you want them on your model and at 0 on the X axis.
2. Position ONE of the gloves over your models arm in the position you want, noting/copying the X value for your mesh's location, then returning the X value for location to 0.
3. Enter edit mode and select one of the gloves. Translated it on the X axis by the value you copied before, then deselect it. Select your other glove and translate it by the NEGATIVE of the X value you copied before.
4. That's it.

I hope this helps even if it's basic as shit but I'm writing this out to feel like the 2 fucking hours of progress I lost in blender because my fucking graphics driver crashed because Nvida's had this fucked shitty ass driver out for a solid month now with no fix wasn't wasted totally and I'm fucking mad.

I just nabbed a bunch of animations off of niyah and the expressions are just me turning on record and editing the blendshape values until I have a face that looks like what I want.
