Should I get HTC Vive or a Windows Mixed Reality headset?

I not only want to play VRChat but also FO4 and Skyrim. I'm leaning towards the HTC Vive because it's the one officially supported by Steam but the WMR is also nice because it's cheap and is apparently 100% easier to setup.

What did you guys choose and why did you come to that decision?

I pirated Skyrim VR, works okay but now that I've gotten to the part where you pick up your first weapon my headset suddenly goes dark and my controllers stop working. The weird thing is, if I take my headset off I can still see the game camera moving in accordance, and it's also picking up the location of my controllers, the buttons just stop doing anything.

It has full support in SKyrim vr. Not like it matters, both of those games are garbage in vr and are just 60 dollar mods.

The tracking for the oculus has less jittering in benchmarks and it's even confirmed by one of the lead devs of the vive in some shitty twitter post.

The ability to read text and such is much better on the oculus than the vive, due to pixel density and lenses used.

Controllers aren't dildos.

Software(aside from the one certificate issue) is miles ahead of anything Valve has in the works. Reprojection is actually usable on oculus.

Larger supported library since OVR standards for steam games are kind of a thing.
