If you can afford to turn, H3VR is basically a gun simulator with some game modes where you can put them to use (the movement options do not allow you strafe and turn at the same time though unless you want to do oculus style teleporting all the time)

You have to have the main texture in it's proper slot, and if you have nothing in the Multiply slot, ensure it's set to 1 so it doesn't modify anything.
Easiest is to set up the basic flat-lit toon shader and then switch to Cubed MMD to add your sphere texture.

Given HTC's hardware QA, this is probably a mistake. If you're paying above 50% of retail, just get it new with a warranty.

Vive vs. rift has been discussed pretty civilly in past threads actually. The consensus is: Just buy a rift unless you want to be a full-body-tracked anime girl in vrchat with the minimum of hassle (FBT is still possible with rift+vive trackers, but it doesn't look exactly easy).

ACKTUALLY, the rift constellation system has IR leds on the touch controllers and rift HMD, and the "sensors" are just video cameras, while lighthouses are passive IR flood/laser emitters and the vive trackers, controllers and cameras have a bunch of IR photocells on them to convert the laser pulses to 3d pose.

I took my armrests off my chair because they were falling apart and I was going to fix them. I realized I like my chair even more without armrests. You can get it working with the rift, but your options are to use an inferior alternative or to shell out a ton of money. With the vive, you get good tracking for an additional 300 dollars.

A lot of people have trouble with one controller discharging way faster than the other one. It's not a deal breaker but it's annoying. Losing tracking from time to time also happens to me, not just the controllers but the headset itself. I also lose tracking when lifting hands up since the front cameras point down. I'm continually disappointed by the lack of interesting VR demos and shareware stuff. Anything that should just be an interesting hack project put out there are usually spit shined and then thrown up on early access for shekels.

Beat Saber is really fun, even though there are only 10 songs there are 3 different game modes.No arrow one is my favorite, it's extremely fast paced. Here's one I just did on Expert difficulty. There are two awkward jump cuts in there, that's because I accidentally hit the Rift menu button, and I didn't edit it too well. The video also got corrupted at the end, but thankfully it was only for the last 4 notes. Thanks Shadowplay.

I guess I'll issue a call-out challenge. Beat my high score on Escape, Expert difficulty. Pretty sure it was something like 194k. Shouldn't be too hard given I missed quite a few notes.

i just started playing it the other day but its pretty good (on the realistic difficulty of course, i dont need no boosts or assists), the only problems so far is holding the controller like a club is very awkward (most of my swings end up slicing hard when i normally hook irl its so awkward), and the teleport to ball function puts me just a little too close over the ball though the game did say it requires room scale space so that's more on me just wanting to be a bit lazy
