Soccer game match has been postponed by about an hour, but even with that they're still running like 40-50 minutes behind. VGL isn't very good at keeping schedules. When we have 40-60 people in a world, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask people to use very optimized avatars. There's a time and a place for stuff like lighting. Pointing a light at a group of 40 people will cause quite a lot of lag.

They move just fine with the spine, but even re-parenting the original spine doesn't convince them to move with the chest.

Will unity move the spine properly so I won't have scuffing issues? Or Is the spine a weightless bone that doesn't matter? It's my impression that it was.

Yes, Criss-crossing wise, it's not possible without the Cats or manual FBT fix. Even with the fix (I'm Cats cus lazy) it's still hilariously awful but frustratingly doable. The most you'll be able to do is stretch out your legs or slightly bend your meatspace knees to your meatspace chest.

You will have tons of trouble laying on your back. On your side is far more doable however. I've noticed provlems with upper chest and head being weird sometimes though and tracking as a whole sometimes having a brain fart and losing tracking as a whole, but this isn't common.

No need to mod since it comes with the discontinued adapter that'd normally cost over 200$ to get on Amazon, just plug in and play. The 360 and it's various adapters is far less cheaper on Amazon for about in the 40-60$ range. If you aren't lucky enough to live in the US, your alternative is the shitty totally {{refurbished}} 360 that may or may not work.

Other alternatives is buying a unmodded Xbone 1 kinect and getting soldering ,aterials which may or not may be cheap to do, then potentially fucking up the soldering and end up wasting money if you have no idea what you're doing/shakey fat spaghetti hands. Or spending way more for vive-rift setup.

If you really want to roleplay the cute anime grill, then you'll have to put in your conscious effort to do so. Some people are naturally better at acting than others, but anyone can practice to become good. If instead you merely wish to obscure your natural voice for pseudonymous reasons, nobody at the meetups will fault you for an obvious voice changer, as long as we can still understand you.

One thing to note is that these standalone recordings are starker than in-game, where you also have a feminine anime body, body language, and facial expressions to complete the illusion. The VC will likely be more "effective" in that context. Maybe try recording yourself in OBS while in game to check.

and now a problem I'm having with the IK

Yesterday, the IK was putting my body at the red marks. My feet balls were on my feet, and my eyes were about where my eyes were. I had my height set like two feet under my height but everything was working well.
It wasn't quite sure about where my arms were and would make me slouch if my arms were too far down, but that was fine.
It seemed to be placing my character based on the location of my foot trackers.

Today, it insisted on putting the balls where the blue balls are, and it made me adjust my height up to my real height to get the viewpoint to line up with my eyes.
It seems to be placing my character based on the location of where it thinks my arms are.

What makes the IK randomly change like this?
Do you guys have any idea how to get back to where it was placing my feet in the right location?

Anons help, I have two problems with my new model.

First when importing it into unity I don't get skinned mesh renderer component on my body unless I decimate it to around 60k. Is that supposed to happen? Idealy I'd like to keep it undecimated at 100k.

Secondly even after decimations noone of my shape keys show up in unity. Neither for visemes nor for animations.
I've checked all I can think of in blender and it's set same as my other avatars that work normally.

Decimate to 60k. Unity splits the meshes around 64k or so and everything gets doubled which is cancer for performance and hard to set up on top of it.
