As a person with too many external HDD's and getting a oculus, is there a USB-hub you'd recommend?
I understand that the bus in a hub would not keep up with the sensors for the oculus, but which one do you guys think suits for 5~ external HDD's? Two of which are seedboxes..

I see a lot of warnings in regards to using a hub for the oculus, as the data stream of one sensor tends to max the output on its USB slot - several sensors in one hub to one USB slot doesn't sound all that great..

That way I believe a hub for the HDD's while freeing up actual USB's for the oculus would be the better approach.

Or do you know of a hub with 2 OUT's into the motherboard? That could be useful - or I might just go with a PCIe USB hub..

I have a massive case so what I ended up doing was taking the casings off my USB external drives and putting them inside of my case and hooking them up like normal harddrives. If you have the room in your pc tower you could always try that.

I just had a thought about valve's new vive controllers.
Currently the master race are people on the rift + trackers setup, but it is theorized that the master race will switch on over to vivecucks once they finally get those better controllers. However, rift users can also buy the those better controllers, and all they would need to use them are two more dongles for the controllers to pair to. Once they get this setup, they would still retain their status as the master race, possessing the better headset, the best controllers, and trackers.

FWIW the DK2 _does_ have positional tracking for the head itself, and still barely works with oculus dash and just openvr/steamvr stuff. It's just a limited FOV and accuracy with only one camera, and oculus will complain loudly that you need to get a CV1 and it's not supported. There was a push for consumer VR setups in early 90s and the original System Shock CD version from 1994 supported VR on Forte VFX1 headset.

I really wish they ported it to modern hardware like Vive. It already came with separated moving and aiming so I'd expect it to translate quite well.
