Not that I have seen no, there is a collision damage system when two robots collide, with one robot having a bonus to that. There is also a robot which has a huge drill built-in but I'm unsure how to use that effectively.
There's no direct punching though, not all the robots have arms/fists.

I'm a big fan of these sorts of Mech games, big heavy robots heaving themselves across the land, raking eachother with serious firepower, definitely very good to me so I may be biased but I think this is going to be a title to keep an eye on, it's still in development and it may go places.

When I looked on the "join" list I was a little confused at first, the menus use this weird circular motion thing to scroll and it started off showing me empty servers only. However, after scrolling counter-clockwise for a while I found two 16/16 servers and a handul of other servers with 4-8 players in them.
Which doesn't really inspire confidence but the game did only today come into early access and hasn't been advertised much.

it's got a Snapdragon 845, performance looks pretty good for mobile. Beat saber and Robo Recall are working on it. You won't get vrchat going but there will be plenty of full games that are just fine on the platform, maybe even gorn.

So, last year, I got into the VR thing. I'm a fucking cheap piece of shit though, so I never got an Oculus or a Vive. I got a Ritech VMAX, Riftcat, and a Galaxy Note 3.

So, aside from text basically being unreadable, it doesn't look horrendous. However, now I'm hitting the point where every game I want to play requires proper headtracking and/or motion controls. personally I got a rift because it was cheaper at the time. I manged to get decent enough tracking using the two sensors in the box so there was no extra cost. Honestly just look at the deals right now and pick based off of that, all current headsets have major ups and downs. The only ones that I know to avoid is the psvr if you don't have a ps4 and acer wmr because it looks and feels like a cheap piece of plastic. rift. The zucc sucks, but the controllers are far better for games than vive, until knuckles (soon™). You also get access to some "exclusives" game-wise, but compatibility between PCVR headsets is essentially the same for now.

The vive will still be fine if you decide to go that direction, it's not a huge difference. If you have a local place to demo the headsets, like a electronics store or VR arcade, you definitely should try before you buy. Some people seem to just gravitate towards one or the other for a bunch of little reasons.

Honestly it's pretty much 6 of one, half dozen of the other when it comes to Rift vs Vive.
At this time there's not a huge gap between them so it comes down a lot to what you're simply used to and personal preference.

I work with android development hardware and I have one of these as a bare metal board running windows, and it's about as fast as a i5 relatively speaking for most operations, with a gpu on par with the vega 11 as long as you're using vulkan.

Just played in VR for the first time on my new vive, was super fun. 4 hours just flew by.
The screen door effect is really noticeable, I didn't think it'd be that much, however it doesn't really come off as an issue I don't think and you sorta put it out of your mind as you play. Biggest problem is I've got chunky frame glasses and the edges kinda smudge the more I play.

The public worlds on vrchat seemed really dead other than one avatar testing world, I guess everyone sticks to either the great pug or private worlds

Outside of /vrg/ there are genuine queer folk who use vrchat as an outlet. Many of them are really nice.

one other thing: There's subconscious social pressure in vrchat to be a cute or salacious girl avatar over a male one for some major reasons; the main one in my opinion being that heteroromantic males are far more likely to interact with cute girls in positive, warm, or semi-romantic ways, whereas male avatars are naturally threatening as competitors.
In closing, in your head you're all male minded, but women are non-threatening.
