Four feet isn't much space. You might be better off using it seated.
Either that, or grab a 2m extension for your HDMI and USB 3.0, and try to stretch out to a larger space. You don't have to be right next to your computer, the cable is the limit. Don't use too long of a cable, or you'll have issues with signal degradation.
Protip: plug your bluetooth dongle into a USB 2.0 port or extension cable as far from any USB 3.0 devices and ports as possible, with line of sight to your controllers if you can. Mine is plugged into a 2.0 port on my monitor, it works great.
USB 3.0 creates RF noise that interferes with Bluetooth, which might cause your controllers to track badly or drop out.

You realize vrchat devs check the performance of every world and they're neurotic about it too? If it couldn't handle the visitor count I put up without dropping below 90fps it wouldn't have gotten approved, so your claims are dubious; this is why there's a #of instances setting in the sdk.

Just did some testing of Rift FOV. The maximum it can possibly render is 105 degrees horizontal (96 per eye) and 111 vertical. Removing the facepad is largely pointless as you gain barely anything, less than 2 degrees per side, of the actual image while being able to see a black border, however it does increase the diagonal FOV due to being able to see to the corner.

i wrapped the hands, belt and body separately. The neck, boots, kneepads aren't wrapped at all. After i wrapped i did some nip and tucking with proportional edit to the boobs, butt and armpits to make them wrap to the right places and the textures sit better.
