Man the day when I upgrade my PC and VR Chat isn't single-threaded cannot come soon enough. Literally can't hang at meet-ups unless I block everything except audio for anyone that isn't a friend because I'm stuck at 20 FPS and less if I at least allow models. No shaders and extra things. It's just so defeating trying to meet new people yet your set up isn't the greatest and the game you're trying to play is inherently optimized like garbage. People need to sleep so not everyone is on at the same times. EU, NA, and SEA all cross over at some point but there are different people online at different times. Shammy is a good bet to join off to find the EU meetup, Yuru is good for NA, and I think Pineapples or Buusta is the SEA one. SEA tends to have a lot of crossover from other timezones so you'll get people from all over that work nights ending up there too.
EU tends to explore and play games, NA has massive meetups with lots of talking and energy, SEA tends to be chill cracking open a cold one with the boys. You're not limited to your timezone but it's likely going to be the one you'll find online at a time that suits you.

it's a racketball breakout, essentially. You're in the middle of a sphere with a hex grid on it, and you have to hit the yellow areas and plus signs with a ball, avoid the skulls, and there are various powerups and scoring combos and shit. The ball rolls across the grid in an odd sort of way that corresponds to the spin you give it with your racket. In singleplayer there's an infinite mode and a "campaign" where you play against a clock. In multiplayer, you trade off hits. There's not too much interaction other than being in the same game though, you just compete by score.

Overall, kinda fun. I feel it lacks depth, but it's satisfying and a good workout to smack that ball around. Presumably you can git gud at it, accurate swings and stuff, time trial. Has a funky soundtrack and visuals. It's $13 on steam right now. I think it's worth it at about $10, but kinda borderline at current price.

I couldn't tell you as I've never used it. I'm coming from the Daydream View which I got for free with my phone. In the app I use on there (VRTV) there's a button I can press that resets the alignment though I don't have to use it much as I don't run into too much head drift. I'm going to be hosting some Payday 2 VR tomorrow (Sunday the 25th), 9PM EST. I really recommend this as a VR game, it's on sale right now and has a ton of content if you enjoy co-op shooting games. Sadly 4 people per lobby is the max but I want to get more anons interested in this so I'm not just enjoying it alone. You can add FlatChestEnthusiast on steam to join.
Make sure to look into the VR Improvements mod here ( https://steamcommunity.com/groups/payday-2-vr-mod/discussions/0/2425614539579129482/ ) for touchpad locomotion and other fixes. I'd recommend installing the mod and fiddling with settings ahead of time.
I was really surprised how well the VR actually works for the game, especially with the stealth missions that I thought wouldn't work well at all.
For anyone who's played the game on desktop before you can check down the page here for a list of changes VR users have compared to the desktop version ( https://www.overkillsoftware.com/payday-2-vr-update/ ). VR and desktop can play together but VR users have some skills/perk decks slightly changed and take much less damage from distant enemies. Ignore the "On dash" stuff though since that's basically their form of teleport locomotion, touchpad locomotion with the VR improvements mod is much better.

Ok guys, my oculus rift has arrived and I rearranged my room to better suit the needs of playing in an open space, installed and played robo recall so I know my setup works, but when I try to setup steam VR it doesn't seem to detect my shit is plugged in and straight up refuses to work. Why do people call VR a meme?
I know it's immature technology.
But we don't call SNES a meme technology back then.
Even though arcade machine are better.

Unfortunately,
Developers don't seems too keen to support VR due to the audience and potential customers.
Technology will always improve on where the money are i guess...

I will be considering next gen VR for PC.
But for now, i will just stick and have fun with my PSVR.

It's low resolution with shitty graphical settings (shitty anti-aliasing, lower 3d models, shittier textures, etc.)
Although it's still outputting the HD nice looking version on the TV/screen for the spectators besides you to see.
I don't see any lag/framerate issues at all.
But playing gran turismo gives me slight motion sickness.
Like my body is expecting G-force from turning corners, but there's none, so i'm tilting my body like a 6 years old playing racing games for the first time.

Never tried actual VR machines on PC either, so i have nothing else to compare with.

Games in VR run fine but god damn, my hard drive is so slow that most features like browsers in game or going back to your desktop take an hour.
Should I get an SSD? What would I need to put on it? Do I need to put each individual game there for SteamVR to be less slow or just the program itself?
