I have an animation where my character opens her mouth to smile, but it keeps on looping (opening mouth to smile forever, instead of just once).

In Unity, am I supposed to fix this via modifying the animation or the animation controller? I'm not seeing an option to just stop the animation. I think I'm supposed to set an event at the end of the animation and have the animation controller make the animations stop or go back to idle or something when the event is triggered, right?

Apparently, gestures are toggling by default, so all I needed was knowing that you can turn off looping in the inspector of the animation.

It seems that there's no other method to stop the blinking while playing a gesture than making my own blinking animation.

That's really stupid. Having to do this workaround adds a lot of completely unnecessary complexity (and work), which'll lead to things breaking easier. Couldn't they just have added a toggle option for blinking while gesturing somewhere?

I essentially can't use eyes for gestures now, unless I do the custom blinking animation workaround, which I really don't want to do, because there's many features in the default blinking that are hard to replicate. Maybe I can pull the blinking vertices into the face to hide it while the gesture plays, but the default blinking will probably overwrite it...

So I'm using the Vive on displayport because I have a different monitor connected to HDMI. This always works out fine for a week or 2 before SteamVR starts complaining that the Vive is not connected and the only thing that solves it is connecting it using HDMI once then switching it back to displayport and repeating this every week or two. Has anyone experienced this as well and solved it permanently or without swapping cables?

Personally, I've only held a real paddle in my hand for about 5 minutes of my life so I can't really say anything about it.
