Trackstraps are really good for your feet, really comfortable, use an old belt for your waist with a camera bolt punched through and a length of shoelace to secure it down and you have basically invincible tracker mounts
some people make their own trackstraps or use shoes, but being barefoot is way cleaner (no dirt) and more comfortable (has padding vs homemade)

Joining matches seems easy, just search for servers. Custom ones have the creator name on the map image making it difficult to read but thats mostly it. There is a 4 digit pincode you can set just like pavlov.
When I make the match I will post my username, the server will be hosted in the EU area so you guys can get better speed, also lets you filter your search meaning you have to look through less lobbies to find the /vrg/ one

Good to see it actually happen. Shotguns are fucking trash though holy shit. Heavy armour means they do nothing. Past 10 meters and the spread is so wide you can miss them on all sides, not that it would matter because past 6 meters the pellets do nothing even to light armour. Slug option when? Also healing happens way too early. Maybe three seconds of not being shot at and you're back to full health so sniping is pointless unless you kill on the first shot. Suppression just makes their vision blur so it's a waste of ammo to try and keep them pinned when they'll pop back out with full health immediately afterwards.
That was fucking great though. Nice to have an even match up unlike with pubs where one side gets destroyed because of such a wild difference in player ability. I get a strange feeling that everyone being from chans and specifically this community means we all think somewhat alike so the level of unspoken co-operation is a lot higher than with randos too. No evidence to back up that claim other than the fact that we tended to all stay closer to and support each other without talking or planning. Pubs just spread out and die alone all the time and there is no effort made to work as a team which a game like this desperately needs.

Couple of things from someone who has played a while;
-shotguns are actually fucking lethal as shit. Once /vrg/ figures out that heavy armor is a total meme and that movement speeds and SICK SLIDES are more important, shotguns will be much more reliable. They're pretty trustworthy in pub games where heavy armor is extinct.
-Ive complained about healing for a while, but the fast setting does have the advantage of keeping game pace up and preventing people from being total pussies. In pubs, this would be aggravating and promote camping. In /vrg/, who knows.
-Suppression is a CUNT. Seriously, if you're not sure if you can hit, DO NOT underestimate the effect of zinging one or four past his head real quick. It can and often does mean the difference between you or your other teammate taking a .308 to the head or getting a little blurry. If you're suppressing someone so you can move up, a good tactic is to suppress them, and then feign bingo and pop them when they peek out to counter. The one in cover is always more vulnerable while they realign their sights than the guy who put them there, assuming he avoids coverbro's teammates. On that note;
-Your teammates bullets are just as good as yours.
-If you're not in cover or shooting, you should be SPRINTING.
-V E R T I C A L I T Y. DO NOT forget to check up and down. Contractors maps have wicked verticality, theres always plenty of places you can get shot from, or vice versa. Snipers are BASTARDS, and with the games dependence on teamwork they're just as annoying guiding their team as they are when they're trying to kill you themselves. Never let them live long.
-I dont think I need to say much on teamwork. You all know how to cooperate. Build on this, by getting to know map timing. Once you kill somebody, call them out if you know they're only a few seconds away from presenting a problem again, and try to position yourself where you can watch their likely approaches. The inverse applies as well.

Depends a lot on my work schedule which changes from week to week. Often I work 4 days, sometimes only 1. I don't like getting into vr when I have work the next day because I tend not to sleep well afterwards. When I do get into vr I'm usually in for around 4-6 hours and late night weekends tend to be closer to 8 hours, sometimes more with sleeps. Average that out and it's about 26 hours a week or closer to 20 without sleeping in vr.

It makes you switch between a large body and regular sized body, and there's also a mechanic that lets you transform random animals into big monsters to fight for you. Story is you're a new god proving your worth in the late ages of Norse mythology.

Full sized rifles are the meta and they're pretty balanced with each other to the point where it's largely personal preference of sights, attachments, features, etc. Carbines seem to be outright slightly worse especially at range, SMGs are bad, shotguns are absolutely terrible, and sniper rifles are kinda redundant to the rifles. There's a few exceptions like the Honey Badger. They need some major changes to the other weapon classes to make them worth using.

Despite it being on valentines, its a friend speed dating event. The word dating is pretty much the only thing tying it to valentines. At university we have speedating events for friends, half the people doing it are unstable, autistic and/or unloved but that shit goes so well they repeat it multiple times a year for every new student.
We hang out with each other at the meetups all the time, we go give each other headpats and communicate, quite often when exploring worlds and during dead hours only two people are together. That usually doesn't cause any problems excluding times anons intentionally cause that to do something they were planning anyway.
