4970k is a good processor, find that refurbished for cheap. The issue is even an i3 8350k outperforms it now, and they're dirt cheap. I'd recommend an 8600k personally.

Custom armature and manually weightpainted, when applying CAT's "fix mode," I notice a change in the hip bone.
In-game, my avatar "deteriorates" to having its hips jutting forward, warping whatever is weightpainted to the hips making the whole idle pose look off.
I want to avoid this for future projects.

Alright anons, this week is going to be a special bit of fun. Don't work until Friday, so I am going to try and plan out some bit of fun tonight or Monday. For the time being, Workshop Wednesday is going to be on Wednesday for once. Somehow the workshop ends up occupied through the week and anons work in it. Might just work in there like the past couple of weeks as well, but I would like to branch out and play a different VR game or something during the week. The progress on Koikatsu exporting has been the same kind of fixing up of textures. Help has been offered on different programs to use to get the normals, fixing textures, ect. Sadly the process is still not clean or fast enough to slap into a 6-10 minute tutorial, would take about 30 minutes to 50 like the last time. Outside of Koikatsu due to the explosion of Croteam bundle anons work needs to be done to figure out how to import models, animations, music, ect into the Serious Sam Editor. If anybody wants to crank that out please stop by or try and dm about it, would love to see the crazy shit people cram into Serious Sam Fusion, their workshop could use a nice helping of content.

Vive is the most practical option to get full body tracking, but the tradeoff is that you need 2 emitters mounted opposite sides of your playspace at above head height + all the extra cables and stuff that entails. Following Tupper's tutorial to the very end and the only issues I've encountered with my VRM model were easily fixed. There were some small bones in the rigging which I left, and now Unity is showing me two errors which I ignored, overall performance is good, but I think it may have doubled the amount of colliders and dynamic bones?

Just move the bones of your arms and legs so that they are following the correct hierarchy of the skeletal system.

as an example here's a model I have- on the left, I have the same error and you can see that twisty bones are interspersed in the hierarchy.

On the right, it's fixed.

Although be careful with stuff like hand bones, on the left youll see that there's basically a second wrist bone after the "wrist" bone. for all intents and purposes, the second wrist bone IS the real, functioning one, so what i did for that one was rename the pair in blender. the wrist ctrl became wrist, and the wrist became wrist ctrl. this also involved reparenting the new wrist bone to follow from the elbow, instead of the newly renamed ctrl bone.

so keep an eye out for that.

You can literally just drag them to reorder, no need for renaming anything.

Test is live, I'm a dumbo so I only uploaded the fixed avatar without dynamic bones, but hey it works.
It's not perfect - mainly around the butt, what I assume is due to weightpainting. It's probably because I went overboard with the thighs in the program itself, skellies should look more convincing, thicc mommies you have to fix up a little in Blender.
But hey, if you want a base, VRoid is not that much work. The only issues I encountered that weren't mentioned in the trailer were in both cases easily fixed by re-arranging hierarhcy either in Blender or Unity.

I wish I could say scenarios like this are rare, but they aren't. The sad truth is many high ranking VRChat players tend to look the other way or ignore a visitor rank, or in some cases, literally block or mute them.

Do you people not realize that these are genuine people coming here for fun? 90% of visitor ranked people are literally just people who are just now joining the game for the first time. They are no different than anyone else other than the time they decided to join VRChat.

If anything, I'd say they are better. They are willing to make friends instead of hiding away in private worlds forever, and completely trashing on what made VRChat so great a year ago.

Anchors are useful because of timezones, not every newfag comes from your country so namedropping yourself might not be useful, and even if you are from the same timezones you would practically be required to be a person who stays on during your zones hours from beginning to end everyday, not all newfags are NEET's so they might only be able to get on at certain hours, and they might not actually plan to join the meetup for days after they made the post.
