Any and all help would be great into making this into working shape. Just starting with an arena system right now. End game is a simple randomized dungeon rogue like map with basic weapon progression and maybe "levels" if that's even possible right now. The weapon progression should help in the feeling of getting stronger as people progress through the dungeon though.

There really needs to be a comprehensive guide on what makes a "good" model. Like, I've heard you'll be chastised for having a badly optimised model, but then there's no mention of what that entails. It's not just Discord, it's expansion in general, and people getting to know each other better. Early /vrg/ was focused on content creation and VRChat meetups, and had a general sense that anything was possible and we could all build something great together.
Now the optimism is gone after a year of constant assault by shitposters, and the peculiarities arising from being a community of VR early adopters have been diluted by the influx of new users, bringing thread, Discord, and meetup culture all closer in line with /v/ and its overwhelming negativity about everything.
It really makes me sad that I'll never experience anything quite like it again, and I'm unintentionally drifting away from VRChat in general and /vrg/ in particular because it's just another shitty videogame Discord now.

I'm also a brainlet but general knowledge of optimization comes with time and actively absorbing tutorials/infographics. There is an addon for Blender that will 1-click you down to an okay "starter" model to have while you learn how to get the most out of the optimization limits. Even though it's old now Tupper's megatutorial is still the best staring point for people who know nothing and will hold your hand from start to finish.
