If you're really into FPS games the tracking isn't good. If you're more casual and don't have problems with changing the positions you hold your hands, it's not really problematic and it'll be fine. That's the current situation, however Carmack says that he expects improvements to be made because the software currently isn't actually accounting for how to track LEDs when they're big blotches on the camera sensors. He says it's one of the hard problems, but that he expects improvements nonetheless. I also expect it to happen, given Oculus' history of software wizardry as well as their somewhat botched launch of Oculus Touch that resulted in tons of users having tracking problems for a time until an update fixed it. But don't buy anything based on predictions. If you have the money, just go with Index, it's going to be better regardless of how much they improve the tracking on Rift S.

I find it comfortable to use IrfanView's batch conversion tool for conversion to JPEG. I just leave the window open, go there, press [B] to open the batch conversion, drag the image from whereever I have it saved into the input file list, click Start Batch and it automatically converts it to the last used target folder.

It's 4 easy actions, basically just 1 (dragging something into window).

Sometimes, I also just convert all my VRC images at once exactly like previously described. Then it's still just 4 (or 1) action for 300 images.
And people not as brainlet as me could probably also set up some ImageMagix or whatever it's called batch file. You'd then just have to drag your image into that file, even easier.
