Redout went to a useless screen where my HOTAS couldn't get around, so I'm done for tonight. Good races, but one mistake can really set you back unless you have tofu-driver drift skills to catch up while maintaining speed.

I bought it when it was on sale once, but it was so broken that I couldn't join any queues, so I just abused the game mechanics and killed bots for an hour or so and refunded. It looked a bit shit, but most of the base mechanics were acceptable enough to play with people (discounting the OP sledgehammer). The videos on Youtube of people playing it made it look like fun. Maybe I should just do something reckless and stupid like make a good VR tactical shooter in Godot by myself. Then I can commit suicide 2/3 into development after all the suffering and regret.

VRdungeon knight is pretty good.
Seems to be a randomly generated dungeon run. For the price it's good.
Hero mode (hard mode) gives you more exp at the cost of a harder enemies.
The class system is neat and augments the status point system. They're simple but allows for some good balancing act.

Monster are simple but enough to be fun specially for a randomly generated dungeon that grows and grows in size depending on if you continue to progress without dying. Basically a VR roguelike.
Varied enemies as well which makes it real nice to play using the various weapons on your arsenal as well.
Potions,weapons, magic, anythings take up one of your inventory slots. You only have 4 slots so you have to balance how many you need and what you need. That includes a lantern for dark places.

I got my own screenshot world now with screens dating back to 2017, i went all in on optimization and cut it to 12 drawcalls, with 38k tris. I basically colored everything homogeneously then added windows for a direct light to do the rest and have the lightmap blend everything together. quite the nice result and you get a solid 72 fps on the quest even with a 3d mirror on.

I tried Index Controllers in a bunch of games, VRChat implementation isn't so bad.
You toggle the gesture mode clicking the left thumbstick (the icon disappears after some time, should just be part of the hud imho).
What I liked - you can freeze the facial gesture you currently have on, pic rel is my Open Palms gesture, but if I like it, I can walk around with my eyes closed down or perma ahegao. Basically no need to have a sleep version of avatar anymore.
What I didn't like - the gestures are kind of precise - with how controller straps act, they move my hand higher than VRChat would want them to be - if your fingers aren't precisely where they are supposed to be, your gestures will get fucky. Trying to do gestures with pinky and ring finger is a bit fucky, at least for me. Maybe it's easier if you don't tighten the straps too much.
I'm pretty sure everyone will need mirrors twice as much as they did before, to check if they didn't toggle an angry facial gesture and run around looking pissed or something.

Sure thing! They're not the biggest issues, but stuff that's not perfect:
- the LCD screen has a bluish/purple tint compared to Vive/Rift that bothers me more than the black levels, which aren't so bad
- there's slight barrel distortion that's hard to notice but there if you look for it, perspective correction isn't perfect on these
- sweet spot for the lenses is about as finicky as the Vive, but a lot more is in focus when you do have it in place
- the lenses are oddly sensitive to light rays from outside, and cause pretty big "flaring" in some scenarios, not quite god rays I think?
- most people can't bring the lenses at the closest position to their face, because it digs into your eyebrow before that point
That's just a few downsides I've noticed so far, but overall this thing is still a big recommend from me. Feel free to ask anything else that I can answer.

knuckles controllers review:
the touchpad quality is fantastic, they feel extremely different from the center point mounted vive touchpads, and feel supported from all angles- and the smaller leverage should reduce wear
the joysticks are pretty standard, the positioning is odd and requires you to put your thumb in a somewhat unnatural high position, but could be adjusted for. Quality is good, they feel pretty standard, ala regular old Xbox remotes or some shit that struggle to break
the buttons aren't mechanical, but they feel pretty strong as well. Not too worried about these breaking because you aren't gonna be doing too much button mashing
The strap, being cloth, gets a bit sweaty if you play hard. It's also a bit odd to get to sit right, as the controller wants your fingers to be flat and finding the correct angle may be somewhat difficult to do that
The finger sensing is fairly precise. With user adjustment to the controller setup, it might be seamless, but at first pickup you're gonna feel a bit odd- getting central fingers like the ring and middle to lie perfectly flat and form a fist properly might take some strap adjustment and hand positioning, and most applications lack smoothness and fluidity of hand motions- whether this is an app issue or a controller issue we'll see with more stuff officially supporting them. They work well, and with no moving parts will probably never break assuming no serious design flaw.
Battery life is about equal to Vive remotes at about 8hr, and the only real difference being that they charge off that weird no-wrong-side usb that I can't remember the name of.
The main body plastic is fairly robust and feels stronger than the Vive, with much tighter tolerances. No squeaking or movement under significant force. The tracking band is even stronger and feels like it would take a lot of force to break, along with having a fairly sturdy shape.

Beat Saber feels really bad. The sweaty band and and AWFUL angle means you're gonna tear a tendie in your wrist if you go hard without a really bizarre and uncomfortable grip without third party angle adjustment. More first and third party support will inevitably make this work just fine, it's just for now they feel pretty shit.
Tracking, however, works fantastic in Beat Saber. I noticed zero stuttering, skipping, and any other effects, and they feel smoother than the vive remotes by a significant margin, although that might just be me finally having a decent and unabused controller again.
Blade and Sorcery implementation is probably the best on the market right now, with full grip to pickup and finger collision support. Shit is good. Pushing on someone with just your index finger or whatever rapey shit you wanna do all just werks and feels good. The only problem is Vive users are really gonna have to adjust to the open and closing hand motions vs a grip button, and I constantly was dropping shit or drawing weapons I didn't intend to.
Pavlov implementation is pretty fucking mediocre until the compatibility patch comes out. The grip squeeze is fairly light to trigger and also mirrors the Vive's grip button, meaning you constantly drop shit if you get into it and aren't paying attention. I didn't have too many issues with rifles, and two handed pistols are nigh impossible to toss around, but one-handed stuff WILL fall out of your hands eventually. Wait for the patch unless you really wanna play. Other buttons work well though, and you actually have a firemode toggle now as a Vive user.
Contractors support is pretty good. Need to play more, just fucked around in the lobby, but it feels pretty natural and functional with corners cut in the proper spots for a shooter. No matter what I do I can't pair three trackers and two controllers at the same time. The watchmen are all appearing as USB devices, but the only way I can get three trackers is to let one use a controller slot on the headset.

The camera does have vision and it was always the fact that the LEDs were too big and blotchy up close to the cameras to be registered properly. Well, now they fixed that.

You can actually just import the blend file straight into Neos. In game you equip the developers tooltip and open an avatar component that walks you through setting up positions and what not. There are also some automated tools that set up eye movement, and jaw bones.
It's pretty easy just confusing at first because the interface isn't intuitive. If you want the quick rundown I'd be happy to hop in and show you how it's done.
