Compare the revolver to the deagle, the most direct comparison
Same price, almost identical recoil, same payout prior to change, revolver kills in 2 hits- 1 recoil impulse's delay
Any downside of the revolver comes only after you've killed one, maybe two people with it and must reload
Compare to the pump shotgun, something the revolver completely suppresses in the meta
Revolver is half the price, has no manual action, and holds only 1 less round of ammo, both being individual round reloads- shotgun perk of being able to top up the only difference
Revolver is capable of killing in the same amount of hits, but at any range- the pump shotgun will only instantly kill on body shot with a perfect full 10 pellet hit, meaning you'd generally be killing in 2, 3 at longer ranges
Fighting in close quarters is where the shotgun excels, except the revolver does it just as well, then goes on to counter the next gun too
Compared to the Kar, the revolver has perks in absolutely every area. Kar's weakness is close range and the tedium of the bolt, where the revolver has neither, is half the price, and does extremely comparable damage at range.

Why buy: any shotgun, the affordable bolt action, and any SMG, if the revolver can outpace them with less risk if you're good enough to aim it and not position poorly for a reload?

Am I bad at VR? I was playing H3VR and i cant beat Take and Hold. I've only gotten to the last round once, and i just barely lost. Does anyone else feel like that game is hard, or what?

Can't join without getting kicked, either on purpose or due to server issues. Rejoined after first kick, got kicked again, and then someone vouched for me after the third load. Rounds continued until match end, where everybody seemed to have left or been kicked. I tried to rejoin, but I suddenly disappear from the game after loading in each time now. I did nothing but peacefully and quietly play the game. Disappointing.

Namedropping on an anonymous image-board seems contradictory to me. In my opinion, it would be best to allow free-reign joining, only kicking disruptive or unpleasant individuals. There's no benefit to trying to establish a good old boys club for a casual gameplay experience like Pavlov. At least, until a password system is enabled for community servers.

I would recommend not vetting at all. There is no need, so long as the individuals are of age and not being disruptive to the experience or generally obnoxious. An anonymous imageboard group should not require someone to post an identifier to join a game lobby for said party. The system of vetting simply pushes for the creation of closed, private groups of a select few people without anonymity. In that case, it might as well be a Reddit server, as they do not believe in anonymity, nor the freedoms of unfiltered discussion and association.

If someone mic-spams, publicly ERPs, TKs, or confesses to being underage, you should just kick them, like you should do even for 'vetted' individuals. I think that is the appropriate choice for nearly any /vg/ server.

I'm only posting my thoughts because I think others may find the experience unpleasant as well, and believe a simple adjustment of how lobbies are created for the games hosting in /vrg/ will aid in preventing that. I just want to join games with cooperative, well-meaning individuals. It's difficult to find that in most public lobbies. Unfortunately, it seems that will not change.

The headset is definitely the best out there in terms of visuals and audio (both headphones and mic). It's really hard to go back to 90hz after playing in 144hz (even if it's actually 72hz with interpolated frames).

However, the index still falls short in two areas: the steamVR software is buggy and missing useful features like oculus dash, and the controllers are uncomfortable and heavy. Coming from the oculus cv1 touch controllers, the hand fit and weight distribution is generally worse, and the main gimmick (finger tracking) doesn't work well enough over the simple grip button for an immersion, nor does it have any gameplay impact currently. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, but it's still a step down IMO.

Right now I'm recommending people new to VR get the rift S. If you end up really liking it and want to pay an early adopter tax, the index is fine, but it's definitely not $600 better.

Unironically if you want to talk about nerfing guns, nerf the jungle AK. Please bear with me, this is not a shitpost, literally 80% of the lobby yesterday were all maining AKMs.

Not sure why its buffed even more on orb's config when compared to the other automatic rifles (M4 and AK12) it has a competitive bodyshot TTK, its cheaper, it has a more forgiving spray recoil (more recoil per shot but less overall due to the lower rate of fire), and of course potential to XD get shit on instakill.

Infact the bodyshot TTK is even more misleading because very often the second or third bullet in a standard bodyshot spray pattern will be a headshot just due to recoil. It's a good indicator that staring at a spreadsheet to determine what is overpowered and what's not is just foolish. In my opinion it should be knocked up to 3k price or knocked from 38 dmg to 32.
