I like the world itself a lot, too. First mahjong world I've seen so far, but very comfy, lots of options and explanations for mahjong (though the explanations on the sheet in the background are in Japanese), a music player for some background music, and a rainy night atmosphere with a kotatsu that has a heater beneath.
It also has a secondary observer room, so as to not disturb people playing.

All in all, it looks quite smooth and intuitive to play if you know mahjong, though you sometimes have to reshuffle the tiles multiple tiles because it sometimes doesn't work perfectly.

I have it and tried it in VR, I don't think I got the controls working properly which effectively allow you to turn your controllers position into floating colliers but thats mostly what youd be getting. Everything in VR is like the base game, your view position is just a point in the scene where a camera would be either on the side or floating where the dudes head should be but you have the ability to move irl to move the position ingame. Nothing particularly special, it's just in VR.

On balancing shit in pavlov. Why the fuck do attachments reduce your payout on kills? Sure they're improvements to the guns but they cost money to get in the first place. Some like 500 bucks which is a significant amount. Smoke and a flash for the price of one attachment, price of armour for a couple of them. Why charge you again afterwards for every kill? Then they go even further and make the guns that can take attachments more expensive than the plain ones (AK vs M4/shitAK or UMP45 vs Bizon) despite the plain ones being outright better guns. I don't even use attachments on my guns because of this cost they have incur. I'd rather have another grenade and a better eco next round. Attachments seemed like the kind of thing you'd put on a gun the second round you had it to keep it competitive without dishing out for a whole new gun. Granted it won't be a huge improvement but 500 bucks worth for the dot sight instead of irons compared to 2.7k for a rifle and then when you die you've still got plenty of dosh for a full buy.
Take the MP5 for example - a good gun on its own and probably the go-to eco gun for most. It takes attachments but if you get the full set it stops being a good eco gun because you've dropped over a grand on a 1.6k gun then get less dosh per kill from it. The price of a fully kitted out mp5 approaches the cost of a rifle and doesn't do as much dps (even ignoring it bouncing bullets off a helmet like raindrops). Then with attachments reducing kill rewards you've got a reward even less or maybe about the same as a rifle kill so it's not even worth it as an eco gun once you slap bells and whistles to it, completely defeating the purpose of using it in the first place. I can understand the knee jerk reaction to red dot awps but lets face it shitter cannons are shitter cannons no matter how much gloss on the turd. They shouldn't really give you much in the way of kill rewards anyway. They're for winning rounds and getting your payout from that.

i wipe down the headset with disinfecting wipes and i clean the lenses with microfiber clothes and a natural screen cleaner that has no alcohol or ammonia in it.

The combat is definitely an after thought. There's only really 3 kinds of enemies, combat is super easy, two handed weapons were utter shit except for the fireman's axe, bladed weapons don't actually slice things and are only useful because you can stab most enemies in the face and instantly kill them.

I just finished the main story in boneworks. Took me 7 hours, mostly because I was fighting gaben's shitty joysticks, and a bug in the between-level warps forced me to replay the entirety of the warehouse level (really short thankfully).

It's weird. On one hand, the puzzles are really simplistic or annoying, combat is easy, plot completely forgettable, dude melons lmao. On the other hand, it's still a pretty sweet engine, and climbing around lightly tapping things with a hammer until they break is fun in some primitive, autistic monkey brain sort of way.

I hope they release a level editor or official mod support. Or hopefully hammer 2 with HL:A has the same level of physics interaction and modders can take off of that.

It's been a hell of a year. I've made a lot of friends here and had tons of fun. It's helped a lot with my social anxiety in some ways. But in other ways it's worse. I'm constantly worrying about being too intrusive and clingy, and I think I probably overcompensate by being distant instead. Also, lewding was a mistake. People are just here to have fun, and I'm not capable of the compartmentalization I'd need to avoid catching the feels.

Models look/feel like toys, they're scaled incorrectly, and the gunfire sounds and looks like shit. but everything else about the game is excellent. it's got fucking vehicles like humvees and helis, attachments (2 years before pavlov got around to adding them), fucking climbing physics, all great and innovative still in 2019/20. Even the battle royale is competent. If the game was consistently cheap like pavlov WAS, and had workshop, we might all be playing a competently developed VRfps that has more gamemodes than TTT and gun game. It's a goddamn shame.
