My allies in the thread have done much to cover the other horrible problems of which we suffer daily, and if I covered them in the detail that they deserved, then this manifesto would turn into a book.
So, who is exactly at blame here for this terrible situation? It's you. It's every single person who isn't absolutely appalled or at least a bit concerned at the natural state of things, the state of young men permanently scaring their minds just from hanging around a place like this. To be honest my playtime went completely to zero after this update. All the little things like finding out people I don't know at the meetups just mute me or hide my avatar right away made me realize VRChat is completely flawed if you don't already have a circlejerk.

I think there's two ranks above Trusted (Veteran? Legendary?) but I've never seen those, so they might not actually work, or have to be set manually. Generally a big chunk of the userbase is Trusted. I feel inadequate as a "User", so I don't play. I'll give it a shot once the beta IK goes live, but playing every once in a while I still feel like I've already seen everything VRChat has to offer for FBT users so I don't bother.

If the API says you're trusted, you're a known user, if it says you're a veteran user, you're trusted.
Veteran rank exists (reflected as legendary user in the API) and there are people who have it but the game just shows it as trusted. When the beta for this system came out people did not like the connotation of "veterans" and it was removed, and friends "rank" took its place in the safety system.

I've been playing with an avatar that has a broken shader and with the "show as user" (despite being trusted) function for a year now and have never been hidden, or muted, or whatever by someone in /vrg/ - or anyone else, in fact. Sounds like you are just paranoid. Go check in the parser how many people have you muted or hidden, I doubt it's many, if any. Unless you actively tried to be annoying.
A caveat is that many people disable shaders for most not-friended people, though.

Safety settings make it easy as hell to automatically hide features, but there's no way to mass block. Someone has to manually select you and select block. A lot of /vrg/ have safetys entirely off because they never leave /vrg/ f+. I've certainly never blocked someone because "muh frames", only if they're being a nuisance, and I've never heard of anyone -indiscriminately- blocking 'randos' because of frames.

Outside of /vrg/, I've found that having a green name is actually easier to get conversations than orange. Inside of /vrg/ nobody gives a shit about trust rank - there's 2 trust ranks, "us" and "not us".

That's probably much moreso true in VRChat. I find it very intriguing to observe who is friends with whom and it is not unusual for me to find a pretty close connection of my friends to an arbitrary player I've never met before.

Bottom line is, there are players you'll enjoy spending time with and you can find them.

Hidden: Pavlov was surprisingly nice.
I personally think the Hidden could use a buff, he's both too easy to spot and lacks some abilities from the original. That being said one of us managed to gut a full team twice, so it's not impossible.
Looking forward to more, a bit more open maps, both hospital roof and docks lack the verticality to fully use pounce.

As for the nades, shame, guess other things can be tweaked instead. The issue is you can't use them fast because there's just no going around the 5 second timer, so it's harder to punish the enemies that group up on a staircase or something.

Also, for reference, this is how aura looked in the mod.
The Hidden was also able to drag corpses around and pin them to the walls, there were some voice commands to taunt your enemy/enemies. The Hidden also had a wind-up attack that was insta-kill but gibbed the corpses so they could not be used for healing anymore. Same deal with pipe-bombs. Pavlov version doesn't honor the gibbing, so at least you get the benefit of having a meal ready if you nade someone.
Pavlov version is generally much more IRIS sided, in the mod if you were faced with average players you had to fuck up to lose as the Hidden, in the Pavlov version you either are good enough to be a threat to the entire team or it's a race to who gets to kill you first so they become the Hidden themselves. Wireless/disregard for turning probably gives you an edge, it's generally a good idea to escape up, as most people aim at their head level.

Also the mod was made back when men were men, not faggots complaining about guns ripping out their soi beards and rattling their baby teeth, so obviously we had Chad guns like F2000.

Very well, you have to point where you pounce and getting the grenades out is something you have to figure out a bit, it depends on your control scheme and controllers too. There's a couple small issues, the one I've ran into is I'm unable to use the aura with a nade ready because I use the trigger for throwing and aura. There's no pigsticking and voice commands but it's pretty much as faithful as Pavlov allows it to be. Needs some more maps, but provided ones are alright too for a start.

if anyone here has Boneworks, have you noticed you can sometimes hear like, someone breathing just right behind your ears? that's the head you can't see in-game unless you break the FOV.
