Superspeed and slowmo are nice breaks but I'd like to see slowmo on deathmatch instead of gun game so we can try out all the guns at our leisure. Wish it was bigger though.
The big open snow one I liked because people actually used smokes and we don't have many open maps for sniping.
The halflife one I didn't like because it was long hallways that you can't approach the snipers guarding them through. The dark corners were cool though. Lighting in this game is actually fucking great.

I bit the bullet and got an Odyssey+. So far, no complaints besides things I can fix myself, like controls, space, and energy.

Few questions though, I'm playing H3VR and shouldering weapons is... inaccurate? Like, the game things I'm shorter than I really am.

Another thing, I set controls to twinstick, and the left stick drifts. I think. At neutral position, I still move. Like there's no or a very very small deadzone.

In Payday 2, the sticks don't have anything bound to them. I assume SteamVR will let me emulate a touchpad on the stick. Yes?

It'd probably be worse than beat saber since you're virtually moving forward pretty fast with no fixed frame of reference, unlike beatsaber where you can still see a static platform + lights while the blocks move at you. Using a cable, there's no latency issues. There's a little bit of compression, but if it's your first headset you probably won't even notice. You can also use it wireless for pcvr and it's got low enough latency that it's fine for something like vrc. And it's also standalone. Does everything.

The latency isn't as bad as it sounds. Since the Quest is rendering a stretched video stream you're free to move 3dof without any latency. This seriously cuts down the vr sickness factor. For example Vive Wireless doesn't have this and they really have to push low latency frames or you'll feel sick, and some people still did.

ALVR has latency of about 50-60ms in my setup and it's tolerable. I mostly see it as slightly slowly reacting hands making you feel like you're a bit drunk even if your not. If they keep the server to headset delay under 20ms I can believe that this could work. I bet they can do tricks to optimize the encoding and decoding latencies further than what ALVR does.
