They have a lot of issues with thumbstick drift. I'm in the process of RMAing my launch controllers for the first time, but some anons here have gone through a few sets already.

It varies quite a bit.
Some people's thumbsticks start drifting badly only after a short while.
Myself I haven't had a single issue with drift as of yet, the only issue I've had with them is that the right trigger spring broke at one point.
It was still registering a full pull if I pulled with a fair bit of force, but nothing else.

Crowdsourcing from /vrg/'s bottomless creativity to bring memes and good art for those that would like to do an egg hunting bonanza.

SEND IN a 512x512 texture of your choice and it will be used to wrap a VR egg for the map for anyone to find and complete
Optional: Send in an item to be placed inside the egg.
It can be anything even a sound clip if you so desire.
Within a reasonable filesize.

We'll be preparing an egg hunting map that has picking up the eggs speed you up for a few seconds.
A timer is also in the map if you wanna compare how well you did with your friends to be the definitive EGGKING.

Hey folks, some of you know through dms about map suggestions and what people like/dislike, making a push to understand census/general opinion on what maps the frequent/infrequent Pavlovers like/dislike, and gamemodes. Put the current map lineup from the server owner on a paste.

General opinion is more people are cool with TTT then originally thought, but the catch 22 is people are stuck on if it could be played properly.

I personally found Rift S tracking to be better for fast motion games like Beat Saber. If you go too fast with CV1 the tracking becomes just slightly off. With Rift S, even the fastest movements it still keeps tracking without noticeable errors. Now for tracking behind your back in stuff like climbing games, and FPS games where you want to hold the gun close to your head at times, then the CV1 tracking is better and more accurate.

Blender question, I have a model fbx that I imported in and am trying to make some changes via sculpting, however when I go to sculpt mode and am on the body mesh, any time I try to make a change it doesn't actually change anything on the mesh. It shows the editing "dots" expanding and moving as if the mesh is being contorted, but it's not actually doing anything to the mesh. Any blender vets have an idea?

In order to play this time you will need to first update to 1.8 then download the latest mod assistant below.

You can also use blender's "selected to active" baking to stick some arbitrary model on the egg. Switch the scene renderer back to cycles, uncheck direct/indirect lighting, check "selected to Active" and make sure to crank up the raw distance. Add a blank texture to bake on. Then resize your anime head (or whatever) inside the egg, select the parts you want to bake, then select the egg (the "active" object), hit "bake", receive anime.

I just got an Odyssey+ today which is my friest experience with VR (outside of Google cardboard, lol) and holy shit, does it blow me away. To that same extent, I've had NOTHING but technical issues one after the other and I had to spend about 3 hours just to get it to work for about an hour.
My current issues: it shuts off randomly then I have to do a full reset to get it working (logging off does nothing), and sometimes after resetting, it still doesn't detect the headset and I either have to switch USB ports, or disable it and reenable it.
It was only working for about 2-3 minutes at a time, but I was able to get it working for two hours which was a blast until it shut off again and now I'm trying to buy a powered USB hub in hopes of that fixing it.

I knew I'd have technical issues, but nothing this annoying. I need to buy some lights for my room too because I just have a single lamp.
I'm glad I got to at least try it because I've been dying to for years and it didn't disappoint (while in use)

WMR doesn't work well with bad lighting so make sure to buy something. What games have you tried out? There are presets in steam setting for wmr controllers made by users for a lot of games, and often they are better mapped than default you get.

So far, I tried a few minutes of HL: Alyx, and about an hour and a half of Beat Saber. Beat Saber was a blast and I think I'm going to spend a lot of time with it since I haven't been very active lately. I didn't buy it used. From what I can tell after hours of shooting in the dark, it seems that some motherboards have a hard time supplying larger amounts of power to USB ports, so I'm under the assumption that my issues come from both my motherboard, and a recent windows update (1909) that seems to cause some problems too.
Unfortunately, I had to update because it wasn't working at all before. It's just been a painful process of troubleshooting and the issues seem to stem from a mountain of possible issues.

I have the cloth vrcovers (not the fake leather one). It's okay for beatsaber, soaks up a little bit of sweat, but the underlying foam will still get a bit wet. It is convenient if you want to go straight to another VR game after a sweat saber session, since you can take off the cover and be mostly dry, instead of having to wash and wait for the whole foam thing to dry.

It doesn't improve comfort or light leakage at all though, so it's hard to recommend for $20 or however much they're charging for 2 cloth things now. You can wash and dry the foam by itself pretty easily already, just takes longer to dry.

HTC sells replacements. It can't really be cleaned well without the foam flaking off. I highly recommend getting the VR cover for any headset as you can just toss it in the wash with your clothes and always have a clean facial interface.

I had the fake leather cover for the rift cv1 and I liked it compared to the default foam. It's not breathable but it's also not permeable, so sweat doesn't build up in it and it's easier to clean. Sprint Vector, in a way, is its own kind of rhythm game. Every different kind of move you have in the game be it skating jumping, drifting, etc. has its own timing and flow. It's getting the hang of that flow where the challenge lies when you first start off.

That's the axis-aligned bounding box. It mainly affects frustum culling I think, and maybe occlusion culling. If it's huge, you probably have a fucked up shapekey. Try dragging each of your shapekeys in the mesh renderer to max. If one of them explodes your avatar, that's what's causing the bounding box to be huge as well. Remove the shapekey in blender to fix.

They are how big the avatar is. If the bounding box is off camera, the avatar gets culled and isn't rendered. Setting the bounding box to zero will make your avatar get culled when the center is off screen meaning sticking your arms out into someone's view or around a corner might still have them culled.

Make sure your light probes aren't inside geometry. That's usually what causes blacked avatars. You should be able to get rid of most of those grid light probes honestly and get away with a few hand placed probes. I find it easier to work with multiple probe groups in different parts of a map. Unity will merge them all together for you at runtime.
