It's a good game. It'll disappoint you if you're looking for actual realistic swordfighting (try Blade & Sorcery), but once you get into it, it's a tight little roguelite with follow-the-arrows quick time events and some resource management and persistent upgradable weapons. If you're tired of flicking your wrists to camelia for the thousandth time, until you fall has basically the same activity level as beat saber, and scratches the same itch of moving your hands to patterns on the screen.

How does this happen though? Not everyone blocked you. You have other friends. There are multiple group circles in /vrg/ alone. The only way you can be got ridden of is if you pissed offed all of those circles.
If even one circle is open then you're still ok. Which is usually not what happens. A lot of people here are super accepting with a really good buffer of patience and understanding.

I have a medical condition where talking is physically uncomfortable, becomes downright painful if I talk for a while. It also makes having a VR headset on my head just kill my neck.
As you can suspect ive had lifelong social anxiety because of it.

I want to go and explore maps in VRchat, in desktop, while avoiding talking to or acknowledging (or even seeing) anyone. Ive seen some youtubers and streamers go to maps, like some under a night sky that seem so immersive and beautiful that id like to explore some.

A good 95+% of it is waiting in a chair during a slow transition or walking with nothing happening. Two jump scares, one place to search around in the dim torch light. Finale was pretty spooky with the approach to the destroyed sub but that's it for the whole map. The start saying it recommends against full body tracking was a big red flag.

I feel you, sometimes I try to distance myself from my "friends" and they just end up assuming it's their fault and get upset which in turn makes me feel even more shitty because it's as if I'm not allowed to feel depressed.

Can you think of good poses as well for specific maps per person? That would be for the best if you can handle that part as well.

I think the best way is to first draft and find good maps wherein we can allocate an hour of shooting maximum for like 4 person batches.
Then we go and get another 4 person batch for another set of maps.
So participants for that are very important. People who are willing.

Basically the first part of this is exploration. So in essence it's just an exploration meetup but with the goal of getting super hyper kino gravure shots. To make this worthwhile for those who are gonna join, we'll need to have prepared in advance, good kino maps to go to for potentiall:

I've worked a lot on the NPC and she has a few different interactions. I included a timelapse at the end of a little cycle she does where she looks at the screens/ looks around the room while idling. Her eyes move around a bit too, and there's easing on her view target, so it wont feel like she's staring into your soul when you interact with her.

Video also shows the cute push buttons (which were a prefab), the mirror system which disables/ enables when you leave/ approach (and remembers what you previously had enabled on it, and this will be shared throughout the map), the name/ mode of the player who enters through the scanner, and a couple other bits.

Any news on the de-facebergization of the Quest 2?

Of course - in the final map. I will be tidying up the lobby and adding a couple more things before pushing it live (with a Quest version too). I'm half expecting to get bapped for the suggestive content on the walls, and if so, I seriously hope they are clear on what is allowed and what isn't (and thus when the final map is released, I should be safe from bapping).

I'm planning on using one of the bedrooms from the City Apartment map thing. I might stick a bathroom into each one too. Hopefully I can use prefab instances properly and avoid the hell that is Bepbar's unique, but totally the same, bedrooms. Maybe I can just feed a number into an Udon script on each and use that number in everything each bedroom does, idk.

Alright motherfuckers it is that time of the week, the road to figuring out the full extent of the damage VRChat has done to their own game has been tough, but we got it. They have fixed most of the problems with layers, whatever is going on in game is some kind of state delay where it won't change to whatever parameter you have for some time. Shit is broke but we can work through damage this light.

The Phasmophobia gathering idea accomplished a bit of what it was aiming for, gathering people together for a few lobbies who were interested. Going to give it another go Saturday or Sunday and ask around again to see the reception on it in game. finally tried quest wireless stuff lately but haven't bothered to see if it likes doing a hybrid setup at all; all I know is vrc looks weirdly dark in it but that might partially be due to the oled screen as well and me not being used to it after being on index for so long

Chillout VR's new hub page is up. It runs faster than the other one did, and you wanna click Access Key Manager to get the password specific for the SDK.
So far it's almost identical in systems to VRCSDK2.0 so if you remember how 2.0 avatars work you'll be fine. The next field trip is on Monday and that gives you almost a week to port avatars with a bare minimum of effort.

There should be an option to scale IPD in your avatar descriptor. There isn't really a solution to this because your real life mind knows instinctively how far apart your eyes are so it can do trig to figure out how big things should feel based on the focal distance.

Anti-Aliasing and SuperSampling increase VRAM usage.
AA enabled in some games rendering at 4k can double the VRAM needed.
Super Sampling is where you render the picture at a larger scale then downsize it to fit the native monitor resolution, so you can eat up literally any size of vram you want if you set the super sampling ratio high enough.
So if you have more ram you can make your picture sharper but 10gb should be enough for current headsets with some super sampling.
