None of the ones I've tried in VRChat work as well as the actual game, so you could always pirate a copy of that to try. The custom songs those worlds use don't always do a great job at easing you into the game either.
There's still plenty of other games worth trying if Beat Saber isn't your thing though.

Yes, I did merge the meshes but I have to leave some out for toggles. I thought I was doing something wrong in the process of merging so I went on to separate all of them to see if the same problem still appeared.
I'm guessing all modifiers should be applied before exporting then? Also what about the armature modifier?

I successfully replaced one joystick on gaben's meme knuckles, and now the joystick drift is gone. It was relatively straightforward if you've ever done basic soldering or cell phone repair before. I followed https://youtu.be/s4R7GnDEV5o , it's pretty straightforward even if you don't understand russian, or here's a non-visual tl;dw

1. lift the front plastic off the the face of the controller, it just has a few plastic clips and some weak adhesive. be careful when removing and disconnect the ribbon cable to the touchpad.
2. remove the two screws holding the palm strap.
3. remove the three screws holding the circuit board on.
4. pry up the center haptic motor off the plastic bit with a knife. it's relatively strong adhesive, make sure to get under the PCB fiberglass.
5. unscrew the screw hidden under the haptic motor, lift off plastic bit and disconnect ribbon cable.
6. lift up entire top PCB, disconnect ribbon cable to the trigger, and connector to the base of the controller.
7. desolder the joystick module, with desoldering braid and/or suction bulb and/or sucker. If you're bad at it like me, once you get enough of the solder off you can clip the leads with a needlenose wire cutter and pry it off.
8. solder the new joystick in.
9. reassemble.

You don't have to reset any software or anything, since it's the same exact joystick except with metal internals instead of shitty plastic (which you can see melted a bit in my really amateur desoldering job).

I did break the ribbon cable connected to the plastic joystick top like a year ago, but all it does is capsense so it's not critical if you happen to break yours too. I also lost the little metal spring in the palm strap mechanism too but so far it's fine, just the palm strap doesn't pop out automatically when you reset it.

kinda odd question but can I get some blender tips/advice on how to make a good butt? I'm a big dumb and very inexperienced with the sculpting tools. As of now I have it as a blobby shape but I want to add definition to it and primarily trying to add the "crease" below the buttock that would crease between the upper thigh to give it that shapely look, but damn I cannot get this to work at all. I don't think the plastic version of the joystick module _always_ breaks, it just has a lot higher failure rate. I went through 3 pairs of controllers too and the last ones held out the longest (6 months) but they wouldn't replace them out of warranty.

Some of the people really surprise me however. For example, back when I was playing in some fresh WoW Pserver, joined a guild and got along with people in guild chat, made somewhat of a meme of myself since I was leveling really quickly and playing 15 hours a day. Must've gotten to 60 in under a week or something. Then the burnout kicked in and I just logged off and deleted that character, never announcing it to anyone. A day later I check the general thread out of habit and get to see a drawing of my character in a picture frame that's standing on a coffin with some roses around. Pure joy, I've never 'gotten' something like that. We barely knew each other. Might seem lame but it meant something to me.
Do such people deserve the shit I do to them? They don't, and this was one of the lighter cases of it, there's been far worse ones.

Oculus indeed has a lot of platform exclusives, actually some really interesting ones. Asgard's Wrath, Lone Echo (and the sequel), Wilson's Heart, Robo Recall (all of which are on the pic you linked).

I've only played Asgard's and Wilson's Heart, Asgard's is interesting, but I feel like the formula gets kinda tired quickly, unless it opens up a lot more after where I left off. Wilson's Heart is actually really cool, worth a play I'd say. Lone Echo is supposed to be really good too but I haven't tried it.

With this event alone they make it so the whole of the japanese community are intertwined and know each other
And they have a fuck ton of other events wherein they organize it to 30 minute blocks on a shared calendar wit hall the japanese. Literally every hr there is an event happening in japan, everyday on any given week, on any given month.

Update for those curious: after a few hours, the joystick stopped working in the X axis completely. It turned out that a couple of the solder joints were bad and had come loose. However, after taking the whole thing apart again and redoing the solder, checking with a multimeter, the joystick works again. Lesson is if you're really bad at soldering like me, check the connections before you put it back together.

Second problem is after taking the plastic joystick top off and on again so many times, it's physically lose on top of the metal joystick module; if I twist it around too much, then I can't actually get the full range of motion on the steamvr controller tester. I don't know the best way to fix this. I do have cyanoacrylate, but I know that's not the best space-filling option. The hole is only like 0.5mm in diameter, so I think I'll try wrapping the rod with a few layers of thin saran wrap. Will report back if it works.

Don't lose too much hope. Jps are prone to collectively wanting to look like each other. That's why they tend to make new booth models to look like the others with minor variety.

But if you look at the CONNECT STATION map, you'll see that the japanese have insane amount of variety in their models, they just tend to try to fit in for event group photos or friend groups.

A couple layers of polyethylene (saran) did the trick; just put a tiny patch on top of the metal rod, and push the joystick back on, and now it's more secure; not as good as new but it'll do.

However, when I first tested, putting the saran wrap on actually made the range of motion worse. I had to turn the controller off and back on again to restore the joystick to full range of motion. I guess there's some sort of calibration that runs on joystick start to calibrate the min/max of the sensors in the joystick module.
