It really isn't when talking about VR. Especially on a high res headset like the G2, and especially with demanding games like flight sims or big Assetto Corsa maps. I have to play with motion reprojection on on those. The high VR resolutions also benefit from faster VRAM, hence why the 3080 has a similar performance.

Looking for a world on VRChat with a chill cyberpunk atmosphere and a proper night mode and bed suitable for sleeping in.

So far the only worlds I've found that fit the bill are Antiheat's Apartment and Deckard's Apartment but the billboards and ad displays are filled with scaleshit in the former and the latter is getting stale.

Finding such worlds using the World search bar is like looking for a needle in a haystack as most are either heavy WIP, a general hangout where people are supposed to sit around and talk or play games instead of sleep or an amateur Unity dev demo of some kind without any sleep world features at all.

Get OVR Advanced Toolkit so you can use the playspace mover feature to adjust your avatar's distance from the ground so it lines up with the surface of the bed/sofa/mattress that you plan to sleep on in-game otherwise you will find yourself either floating above the bed or clipping through it, which breaks the immersion.

2. Make sure the world you sleep in is naturally dark or has togglable brightness settings so you can turn it down. Sleeping in a world with bright lights will give you eye strain like sleeping in a room with all the lights turned on.

3. Create a private or friends only instance of the world you decide to sleep in or if you absolutely need to sleep in a public instance because you're hoping to encounter the e-girl of your dreams sleeping next to you when you wake up in the morning then choose a world that doesn't get much player traffic (usually a world with the average player count numbering in the single or double digits or no count listed at all).

Sleeping in a public instance on a world that gets a lot of player traffic is a bad idea because you're likely to run into trolls that are hell-bent on disrupting your VR sleep schedule for shits and giggles.

Once you have the basics down with driving it's just practice, practice, practice there may be some theory that you don't understand yet but if you just do enough laps you will start to 'feel' it. Quest 2 - it's the most obvious recommendation to anyone given the Index's thumbstick woes. Quest 2's only real downside is the higher performance demands on the PC and tiny input lag and lower quality image, all because it has to encode its video. But otherwise you're getting an excellent device, with the excellent controllers, with wireless PC play and a proper standalone portable experience for only $300.

If the Index were a straight-up better purchase then I would have kept mine. I actually use a Rift S for PC VR but that's due to the issues I mentioned at the start. Quest 2 should be the recommendation to anyone interested in VR. Index has some great upsides but is totally undermined by controllers with awful ergonomics and constant RMAs.
