Anyone else had the rift s "sensor not working" / three dots of death problem? I tried all sorts of fixes but none work. Only thing I have left to try is get a powered USB 3.0 hub and try that. I was just playing vr games with it like a couple weeks ago and all of a sudden I'm getting this sensor issue when I tried to use it just yesterday.

It's quite different. They both have their problems, sure, if you think you're gonna find a relationship that doesn't involve work to maintain it you're playing yourself, but the things you deal with (apart from the universally human shit) are quite different.

For example, and this is only from my personal experience, ymmv: I find men tend to be more open about when things are bothering them and communicating their desires, whereas women tend to just expect you to know what you're doing and how they feel. Perhaps it's just easier for two guys to communicate I guess.

Men, especially the effeminate sort, tend to have more self image issues and confidence issues, which makes sense since they're going against societal norms which can really fuck with you. Also doesn't help that this particular group is on the younger side and are still grasping with finding their place in the world so they haven't quite learned which opinions to give a fuck about and which to ignore. Plus issues with many still living with families/parents and such which makes expressing yourself a lot more difficult.

here's a idea to didney, pour funding on star wars mmorpg for vr and make it that it actually works without lag and has lightsabers that collide, can deflect bullets and destructible terrain where the walls / doors are thin enough and then you can add some bounty hunter weaponry / gear stuff too like jetpack, flamer, tripwire etc, combine that with class guilds and mixed guilds where you can do some stormtrooper roleplay, bounty hunters guild roleplay and jedi / sith roleplay stuff and you have a game that will have no competition for a while

I apologize in advance for the blogpost. I'm not sure where the best place to ask this question is so I came to this general.
I got a Rift S without realizing that the IPD is fixed at ~64mm. My head is pretty big and my IPD is ~73mm. I returned the S to avoid fucking up my eyes even further.
I did my research and came up with nothing. The reverb G2 and Quest only go up to like 68mm and the only headsets I know of that go beyond that are well over $1000+, which i'd rather not go into as a VR newfag.
Am I missing some options? Or am I just shit out of luck?

I shouldn't have to fucking say this AGAIN but I'm seeing lots of discussion along the lines of "DO I HAVE TO BUY VIRTUAL DESKTOP?!?!?!" and nobody explaining this so here goes;
If you have a Quest1/2 and a Radeon card then you don't need to buy Virtual Desktop since the radeon driver has wireless VR streaming built-in for free and for me it has better performance than Virtual Desktop.

You'll have to sidequest the Relive APK onto your quest but that's all it takes (You can manually install the APK too if you like but you'll have to google the source), set the options to whatever headset you want SteamVR to see your Quest as (You can pick Vive, Vive Pro, CV1 or Rift S for headset emulation) and pick the bit rate to use (5Mbps, 50Mbps or 100Mbps) and you're good to go.

Since using Relive driver streaming for my Quest I haven't had a single instance of "SteamVR thinks I'm using an index controller and my controls don't fucking work" like I sometimes had with VD so for me it is just a big improvement, but, to be transparent, I do have a pretty good GPU a 5700XT so I cannot promise it'll work better than VD on older hardware.

Once you have it working it's easy to pick up and play too since you just start the app on your quest and it goes straight into steamVR, no fannying around.
