There's meant to be a Vive announcement this week, but it's aimed at professional VR rather than commercial. They're apparently making a Vive Pro 2 that may be decent to swap with the Index HMD.

Yeah no you need to rebuy things for the Quest store. Some games will give you crossbuy between the Quest and Oculus Desktop titles but that's strictly on the Oculus store. Beat saber is an exception because the devs are kikes.
You can still use your Steam games but you need to connect your Quest 2 to the PC. You'll have a good experience with wireless if you have a Wifi 6 router but I use a Wifi 5 router and I find it fine since they're in the same room. Just try Air link and find out, it's free.

Is this done using an int? Are the menu buttons set up as toggles or buttons? If they are toggles do you still have to turn the first one off and on again to switch from it to another state then back into the first one? It depends on how they designed the tracking architecture. The main problem with getting PSVR working on PC is you need to essentially write the drivers yourself. If they stream over raw data of the sensors, then you need to essentially come up with your own tracking algorithms, and you need to be a multiple PhD strong team to make something good there. That's why they just used other things like Nolo to substitute in for the tracking.

If PSVR 2 has a processor on the headset that calculates position data and sends that over the wire, then we might be able to do something.

I made a simple flashcard system for avatar3.0, using the random parameter driver. example avatar in webm related plus the hiragana flashcards:

I don't now a good way to make the animators and stuff generic, so if you want it on a different avatar you'll probably have to stare at the setup long enough to understand how to copy it. The flashcards themselves are just packed into a texture and the shader switches between them on an animatable parameter. I used imagemagick to generate and stick all the text into a grid. It's theoretically possible to generate images from e.g. anki decks, but would require additional autism to parse the xml and stuff. Also, this is just random choice, not spaced repetition. You could in theory stick enough state into an animator state machine to implement spaced repetition but that'd be some very serious autism.
