Today I went into work. Nothing new, same old, same old. I saw my boss (who I'm friends with) and enthusiasticly waved to her with a cheery smile.

Why is that different? IRL I'm rather deadpan and unexpressive. I'm not depressed or anything...just bored. Everything is always the same. Usually at most I respond to people with "the nod" or a simple "hey".

I've been socializing in VRChat for about two days now since I recently got my VRHeadset. IRL I'm a beefy strait arrow average respectable dude. An outdoorsman. The kind of guy who fathers would be glad is dating their daughters. A real "man's man" you know? But I wanted to use VRChat as a way to experience life from a female perspective. One female avatar and voice changer later I was able to get a small glimpse into what the female experience might feel like. Of course I know its nothing compared to the real thing but it has still been an enlightening experience, at least as far as how others treat me at least.

Anyways, while using this female persona I've started to act differently in VRChat. Not intentionally. I think its my personality adapting to how men treat me in VR and the new exciting experience. I'm not being slutty or anything, don't worry. Its just me but with a slight feminine twist. I seem more upbeat, affectionate, and social than normal too! And my usual greeting in vrchat is a cheery smile and an enthusiastic wave. The same way I greeted my boss IRL this morning.

I know its not much but I was still surprised that I did that. I wonder how else VRChat will change how I behave IRL as time goes on.

The cloth physics have been in since blender 2.7 actually, just tricky to use. There's some paid addons that make it easier, but once you learn where all the settings are it kind of makes sense. Definitely not as good as MD but also not terrible.
