If I Atlas my materials how would do I actually edit the textures/shaders in unity? wouldn't it all now be just one material? right now everything is separate so I can tweak each material's shader and shader settings individually depending on if it's an accessory, clothing, etc. But if I atlas it and it's all one material...how exactly do I individually edit them with their shaders? confused

Sure but honestly I can make these sorts of friendships in other communities without much issue and I enjoy meeting new people and keeping it fresh. I think it's usually because I put so much time and effort into communities I'm a part of I burn out and get a bit sick and tired of it so leaving for new pastures isn't so much of an emotional blow, I'm ready for something new by that point.

I basically got surgery and (because I am an idiot) I didn't immediately start with physical therapy. Maybe that's why it was in bad shape.
Physical therapy is the key to everything. If I could go back in time to tell me something important, it would be this.

Consulting with your therapist will most likely give you something along the lines of "It can go fast, but it is different from person to person". But I can remember that it took a long time for me to be able to walk normally. So again: physical therapy is important. Not only for being able to move your knee, but also to somewhat give your muscles something to do.

But yeah, 1-2 weeks is considered "nothing" in ACL terms.

Welllllllll not really.
Once the therapy was over I was able to walk and work normally, but I was missing a bit of ROM. But my health care was like "Yeah that is enough though", so I wasn't allowed any further therapy (also I was poor and couldn't afford it). ROM came back after a couple of years though.

No with my second accident, it was basically the same, but I still miss a bit of my original ROM and most likely won't get it back.
So if you wanna have a second ACL accident, choose the other leg, is my advice.

Does zombies map scale now? I remember we could barely get through Oasis with 20 people, and now we did it easily.

Played it with 3 people and we had no issues with wave 15-20 something. Today with 10 players the zombies were sponges.
It also seems to not scale down if players leave the game.
4-5 players feels like the best amount.

The headset tracking is fine itself. The issue you'll have is the controller tracking which is why I said to hybrid it up with Index controllers. The problem there is you have the added cost of base stations.and your 2 different playspaces might desync which can be solved by a quick recalibration. How often and how bad it will desync I don't really know sorry.

As someone who has the G2 + Knuckles Setup.
I've yet to run into any problems, and I've had this setup for 2 weeks now.
Recalibrating is extremely quick and easy that it's not a hassle to do if it does happen.
It's worth it, the Vive Pro 2 has so many negatives that I can't recommend it.

Not as clear Clarity, the shitty headphones, which also now have humming in them (they acknowledge and don't care), the weird Recentangle FOV, (get a face gasket for the G2, worth it, improves the FOV greatly) and the shitty Mic.

In Saints & Sinners, is there a huge point to two handed weapons? I've just been using the nightshift for everything now and I don't see the point in going back to the bat or using my fire axe. You need to adjust the IPD using the slider on the bottom side of the headset. Part of it is also just getting used to it and finding the optimal position for the headset on your head.

There's a so called "sweet spot" for most headsets, you will have to adjust it on your head so it fits well. I find having the headset pointing down a bit helps.
Also as the other anon said, adjust your IPD to match your eyes. You can find your IPD by just using a ruler in front of a mirror.

I've done that with other groups in VRC and they took it bad. I used to hangout with one group that had a pretty big discord community before I decide to start going to vrg meetups. I liked a few of the people in that community a lot but some of them not so much. A friend just gave me his HTC Vive (not Pro).

It's a nice dream, but the Vive is too low-res for that to really work. You can sit in your room and watch movies like you're in a theater, but anything requiring fine detail or text is just not great. You'd have to set your desktop to like 1024x768 and pretend it's 1999.
The newer headsets might work better for that usage but IDK I'm still on a classic Vive as well.

No matter what rig you have you can't get a virtual desktop to compare to a real-life monitor, you're using a fraction of the pixels to recreate a monitor in even the most high-res headsets on the market. If you increase the screen size in your VR environment to about 70" or so it starts to become more usable but if you compare a 24" monitor to a virtual equalivant the text will be muddy and not nearly as readable.
Look into the gearvr lens mod if you are planning on using the vive for the foreseeable future. It'll give you a larger sweet spot and less godrays while making the image overall much sharper. Keep in mind that you're still dealing with a low res headset so no matter how good the lenses are you'll see have a lot of screen door effect.

You're at the minimum specs for VR right now. Your first priority should be a GPU with a decent amount of VRAM, 8GB or more, and then an upgrade to a newer CPU with more memory bandwidth.
I had a similar setup, an i7 2600 with a 1080ti, when I first started playing. The 1080ti was fine, and I'm still using it now, but my framerate in most VR games doubled or tripled after moving to a Ryzen 5 5600x-based system.

Supersampling will improve clarity if you have GPU power to spare, though there are diminishing returns once you're more than 2x-3x your headset's native resolution. You don't have the extra power, though.
