Other than that you need to play with it to notice stuff. Make sure you don't have stick drift (your player moving slightly sometimes without you moving the stick). Make sure the capacitive touch on the sticks are working (sensing whether your thumb is on them or not). Make sure the finger tracking is working in a game other than VRChat. Make sure the headphones don't vibrate with loudish, deep notes. Make sure there's no pixels flickering around when looking at dark things/in dark scenes or audio pops as that means the cables dying.

One of the main Idea of the TSA is to filter out those that would potentially crash the events while still allowing newfags from joining easily.

1) To remind discord people there is a thread and they can easily re-install and overwrite the pass to get in. (not my idea, but I sympathize with the sentiment)
2) To filter out people who might crash the big events going forward. (my idea)
Number (2) didn't happen because there was a 15 user limit on new friend requests which was an unforeseen oversight. If (2) went perfectly, no crasher bringer would have been able to get into the event.
What occurred here is that the big event got crashed because the on-field guys had to pivot to a friends+ instance after the 15 user limit for new friends was found out. And that pissed a lot of people and am very sorry for that.
It could definitely have been done better for the event to have gone through without a crasher.

there's just too many damn people. vrg used to be maybe 30 people on a busy friday. now it can easily max 3 whole ass instances on a friday, to say nothing of a one instance event map.
also there's been event creep over the past few years and I've complained about this before. events used to be largely unplanned, spur of the moment themes or fotm memes. but because certain ones are yearly, (holiday events ) people got used to structure. and so events became bigger and more structured and elaborate. which then trickles to other ones too. and then you have to have something to do in the event- when the 'thing to do" used to just be a group photo. and eventually you get fucking avatar contests where you can win a steam gift card or some shit.
there's been event power creep. largely unavoidable, but in general also, just too many people, and the more people you have, the more you will get communication breakdowns between personalities and cliques that don't mix. you have catty gays, coomers, fratboys, chillers, and many many sub divisions and smaller cliques within those categories, where it used to just be a handful of varied autists.
