I also want to add that each person's immunity takes a different time to kick in. Mine took 2-3 months to get rid of sim sickness. Now I can spin in a circle or run around in VRChat or other real VR games without getting sick. I mostly got rid of it with a mixture of VRChat and Onward. Another thing is you probably should stand up when you actually stand. Don't use any seated play options unless it's a racing game or something. It's less disorienting to stand while your player model/avatar stands.

My brain was telling me I was on like a boat, and my feet tried to compensate, but that obviously wasn't going to work.

If you get good with the AK it's almost always better value for money. That one-hit headshot kill is a gamechanger that can instantly shut down top players at long range. I also feel that headshot kills result in less trade damage so you will stay alive longer.
The M4 has better overall consistency and a good burst for prefiring so I prefer that when retaking sites or pushing against multiple enemies but it lacks those high impact headshots.

Have you considered using a bigger bar map with more space? You can keep the comfy bar room as it is, but maybe pick/make a map with more space, both indoors and outdoors in other rooms elsewhere. The cramping introduces more issues than just voice.
Also if you make separate rooms, you can use one of those voice occlusion Udon prefabs that make people's voices less loud if they're in a different room/behind a wall.

Specifically we used https://sonobus.net/ , which does low-latency high-quality audio streaming. I can recommend it for playing music with people within ~1000km or so. Between the two of us we got about 40ms of latency, which isn't great but is equivalent to 13m of physical air, so like playing on opposite sides of a concert orchestra.

We also tried https://jamtaba-music-web-site.appspot.com , which works around the speed of light by delaying everything you transmit a full 4 bars (or other musical length), so you're playing in a sort of continuous round. It's kind of weird but is the best you can do if you're too far apart for sonobus.

To get the audio back into vrchat for listeners, any stream service will do, with voicemeeter to handle the audio routing. topaz.chat or self-hosting an RTSP server is best for listener latency, somewhere under a second.

Server: vrgee (or if you can't find it in their shitty server browser, type valheim.vrg.party in the "connect IP" option and it should work)

If you don't have the VR mod download it at: https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/847 . It's kind of janky but still very playable. If you don't have Valheim, it is fun survival crafting. Just found out the way you open the hidden path in shaderfes. It seems you have to go through the exit points of each section. So it's enough to use the panel at the beginning to go to the last sections and exit. Then teleport to the upper section, power on the shaders, then off, then the path should be open. I pressed the button to cycle through all the shaders just in case but that might not be necessary.

There's some really weird stuff happening around the boobs area that I couldn't get around to fixing. if you're new to unity and vrchat it's not a bad place to start messing around and learning how the engine makes scenes (worlds) out of meshes, materials and colliders.

All the unity engine stuff is still relevant. The functional vrchat bits like stations (chairs) and buttons are SDK2, but that world is so basic you'd lose almost nothing deleting those components and moving the project to SDK3.

this definitely looks like 1.0, I remember the 2.0 base looking quite shitty in terms of lighting, like an unbaked vrc map. I think the game got zucc'd.
they denied it on reddit but i'm 99% sure they're gearing up for a quest release. downgrading the map by splitting it up into smaller chunks that mobile CPU's can handle, no human enemies because oculus guidelines, and a shift to overall dumbing down the exploration and fucking up the usefulness of guns.

Get an index now if you want to get into VR and has a convenient setup as well as the budget for it. Even if a better headset do come out in 6 months, base stations and controllers would probably won't be replaced by anything better, also 6 months is more than enough to make nice memories with the lovely fags from this thread.
