Probably already been written about by anons far more eloquent than I but I figure I'll throw in my two cents.
Zenith is an absolute mess but it's a fucking fun mess.
Servers not showing up half the time, voice chat not working through multiple restarts. Tons of places on the map you can fall straight through. Combat's pretty samey but abilities feel real nice. Quests range from 'kill 10 rats' to 'explore the environment to find a way to reach xyz and then climb around to your objective' which is more fun than I thought it would be. Gliding feels fucking amazing with the advanced setting turned on. Map is huge but I get the feeling later content is much less fleshed out graphically.
Overall it's extremely rough around the edges but I think there's definitely a solid base to work from. The core gameplay feels good and is mostly bug free, surprisingly.
Would buy again.

Even different booths have similar-enough faces so the popular ones just smear together in my memory. Rare avatars are more unusual and easy to remember.

Faces are very important for me to recognize someone instantly, even in VR. Glancing up at the nameplate to identify a friend after making eye contact feels terrible. Vive Tracker v1 and v2 are kinda bulky and last around 3.5h without extra batteries (which makes them even bulkier). There's some annoying bugs to them too.

Vive Tracker v3 are pretty decent at 6.5h battery and small size but they are quite expensive.

Tundras are cheaper, smaller and lighter than Vive Tracker v3 and come with a strap solution unlike Vive Trackers.

Then there's SlimeVR if you feel adventurous.

The drift happens over time, I have 3 base station 2.0.
After a while you need to restart the tracker to reset it. One of the trackers never line up, literally 20-30cm off at all times.
When they fix these issues, they will be a good replacement for vive pucks.

It's pretty great, it can even crop the video and show you a preview of what you're making. If you do use it, mute the video if you want no sound webms. It doesn't have an option to disable audio in the encode settings, instead it just checks if your video is muted and if it is it disables audio. Depends what kind of aspects are we talking about. Aestheticlly speaking, Shelter and ghost club are amazing, the music doesn't hit me as much desu.
I can recommend you many places but the problem is that there are clubs which is just a DJ playing music in a nice map and people listening to the music while being in desktop, so the dancing part is somewhat missing.
The last club I truly enjoyed was Shelter because I was with friends, afterwards I swapped to another club, Cell:Bind, and had a good amount of people in vr and dancing. This week I went to IJUS and the experience was pretty good, sadly it was more like a show rather than a dancing club, but the music and the visuals were amazing.
DDVR still does clubbing & dancing but I haven't been there for a while, the dancing scene is somewhat missing which is a shame

I am running a vive pro 1 on a 3090 and 5900x surely it could handle it, maybe it is using the same cpu cores as the game I'll have to monitor the performance later and experiment with different settings.
Maybe it doesn't agree with capturing from steamVR view and would be better to capture from the game window directly instead however I wouldn't be able to record the kneepad overlay that way.

I'd always recommend Blender if you want to be more optimised and have less scuff. Its a bit harder than Unity but massively more optimised though. You'll want to learn Blender long term anyways
Here's a bit of a guide on how to do it but it assumes you already have some Blender knowledge so if it's unclear you could ask

Apply all transforms on the second armature if you've moved it around
Make sure the duplicate bones/vertex groups are named the same as the ones on the main armature
Delete duplicate bones on the second armature that already exist on the main armature
In object mode select both armatures and ctrl + j
Reparent any additional bones to their proper place
Either join the meshes or on the second mesh make sure the armature modifier is pointing to the main armature

it depends. sadly the performance system counts everything as being active at the same time, and too many outfits will probably result in a lot of textures and therefore a large download size. my advice is to not have too many drastic outfit swaps on the same avatar. stick to 2-3 at most.
as long as you keep the skinned mesh and material counts down you should be fine. try to stay on Medium performance rank when it comes to materials, meshes and skinned meshes!

This was a huge improvement for me, don't have to peak in missions anymore.
You can bind the buttons on the wacom tablet as well with the application but you have to edit the behavior in windows so that the tablet does not get used in windows explorer when certain applications are running.
I map the wacom tablet buttons to adjust brightness level for night/day missions and one button to toggle hiding the overlay.

There was one payed tool I bumped into whilst searching for other useful VR tools that looked smoother and probably had more features but I didn't look much into it VRK is plenty enough for me and free.
It is maintained by some Italian flight simmer it seems don't know how long it will be supported.

no, models are NEVER auto hidden for dynamic bone. at worst, people will have your dynamic bones limited.
the only things that can make your model get auto-fallbacked are:
- Download size
- Polygons
- Meshes
- Skinned Meshes
- Materials
- Bones
everything else like lights and particles will just be disabled/removed by themselves, but many people don't auto-block very poor models because you're basically blocking 70% of people.
Most people have wisened up and use Advanced Safety instead to set sane limits.

I personally preferred delux audio 1 over the vive pro's deluxe audio.
Quality is similar to me but comfort on the first was way better than the 3D printed springs/clamps mod to get a better seal since the first one didn't need any modification to sound decent.

I have an 8kx as well, waited 3 years for their DMAS audio solution which to them was supposedly better than the index, it ended up sounding decent but the build quality is a joke and has constant high frequency buzzing, I bet the index speakers shit all over it.
The technical specs on paper sound great and it looks quite sharp but the software is a fucking joke, got sick of troubleshooting constantly and ditched it altogether for a modded Vive pro 1, just plug and play.
OLED is much nicer especially in night missions despite the lower res & FoV, that and the performance is more balanced for demanding titles particularly flight sims, clarity is acceptable with the gearVR lens mod but noticeably worse for reading fine text compared to the 8kX, I prefer aspherical lenses over every single fresnel lense I've tried to date way less artificats (no banding/rings, no god rays, no bullshit fucking hammerhead shark offset cross eyed sweetspot) but it has a bit of a fish eye effect if not fitted properly, and some colour banding/prism effect at times around the very edge of the lenses, that hasn't bothered me as it is not pronounced and doesn't happen frequently.

I hope we get a small form factor lightweight high res/ high 130+hfov full RGB subpixel QDOLED dipslay HMD that doesn't cost as much as uLED.

I use a service called revolut as my credit card, it gives you virtual credit cards and has the option of making them self destruct after every transaction which is useful for online shopping in shadier places. I was tempted to get a miniLED screen with a high dimming zone count but why bother with halo artifacts when you get none of that on an OLED display.
The only advantage I can think of with new LCDs with QDots and local dimming is the high peak brightness which would be nice for HDR and bright scenes that pop out.

But I love my blacks really really dark without any compromise, especially for space games, 1000nits should be good enough.

I think QDOLED will still suffer burn in but the effect would take a lot longer and the mitigation method samsung will be employing for individual subpixels sounds promising.
My understanding might be wrong but the jist of it I got is that they cap the brightness level leaving some overhead and monitor individual subpixels, the ones that wear out more are given more energy to compensate.
For VR I've had my Vive 1 since its release and haven't noticed any burn in, not really an issue for VR but it is promising for monitors which I still use and suck.

QDEL and uLED are end game, I suspect QDEL would be much cheaper and easier to scale and manufacture en masse, if it is close enough to uLED performance wise it is a no brainer.
QDEL will be interesting, they get rid of the OLED pixels altogether and energize the Quantum dots directly getting rid of the part most prone to failure/degradation and you can just print the shit out of Quantum dots compared to uLED subpixels which need to be physically placed.

Usually there's a second one like a month after the first, but I wouldn't worry if there isn't since there's a bunch of events and things you can catch once your headset arrives, and even without those we usually have people hanging out every day on vrc because we have nothing better to do. Well you see, thats the advantage of microOLED displays, as its OLED on Silicon, that means that you can easily add some additional circuity to the silicon to enable stuff like laser based eye tracking right into the display itself. This then means that Foveated Rendering can be applied quite easily to the headset, the main downside to that at the moment for us is that as VRChat still uses D3D11 there is not a proper implentation, and so this can break certain shaders in annoying ways. Also MicroOLEDs are very different from regular OLED displays so there is none of that smearing with MicroOLED as they have a much higher persistence that OLED displays. I can only comment on Song in the Smoke, but it really depends on how you play it. If you look up how to do and find everything online it should be a 9-10 hour ordeal, assuming you skip collectables and go straight to the ending.
If you play it blind then you'll probably get 20-30 hours especially on harder difficulties.

Keep in mind it's a single player game and once you've seen everything that's about it. I would definitely recommend it if you're into survival games. The crafting system is pretty fucking good.
