I got that part done. The one that I'm having most trouble with is trying to get the skirt to not flap about and clip during movement.
I also had some issues with skirt clipping into the body mesh, but that was solved by moving the bone around so the axis of rotation for the bone kinda lined up with the part that was weight painted.

Vroid clothes are free and cheap, and even though it may not be the most detailed mesh-wise, the textures on it are quite good. It also gives you a good starting point for some custom work. You literally lose nothing.

I'm a bit out of practice with blender. I added a ring onto one of my model's fingers in blender, how I want to weight paint it onto said finger so it moves with it correctly. The weights that already applied to said finger would be perfect for the ring since it'd make it move 1 to 1. How exactly can I just copy/paste the weight settings on the finger to the ring mesh?

Position the two meshes how you want them. First select finger mesh, then ctrl click your ring mesh. Then switch to weight painting mode, and under the "weights" tab in the top left of the edit screen, there will be a button called "Transfer Weights". This is what you want.

There are a few different options for how to determine which weights will be used, I tend to use "Nearest face interpolated" the most often. If you want to transfer weights for all the bones on the armature, you can set the source to "By name" and destination to "Active". If you just want to do weights for one vertex group, which you might to avoid interference from other fingers, you can set source to "Active".
