You can use an overhaul like Blade & Blunt or Inpa Sekiro. I like Inpa Sekiro because it is faster and rewards precise timing, but Blade & Blunt is slower and has a lot more metal on metal action. That modlist seems to come with ADXP already so you should already have proper combat behavior and no ice skating.

If you have dual wield parry VR (Which that mod includes) not really. You can stagger enemies and focus on other enemies during that time. I like Vigor as well just for the weapon clashing, so if you can swing into an enemy's attack to stop it which is much easier in VR given how fast you can move and respond to things.

While some normal ENBs can be modified to work with Skyrim VR, ideally you would get an ENB made for Skyrim VR. Scenery ENB is great as it is performant and makes exteriors look awesome. Oh, also, you can use Glamur reshade which has a really nice fast ambient occlusion shader, sharpener, and psuedo global illumination. God damn, I've just played some ItR. There are some performance issues during initial level load, but other than that it just runs butter smooth, no issues, no crashes. Insane how far loonix got, last time I tried it wine was barely able to run some dx9 vidya.

I stopped having major drops after a while, game just cached some data and then it was butter smooth. A good GPU probably helps too, less possible framerate drops. It definitely feels more wonky when stutters happen, but it's not all that horrible. I'd never recommend it over windows for playing VR vidya, but experience is definitely good enough and I don't think I'll bother switching OS just to play some ItR from now on. Crazy happy how usable it is.

On the subject of ItR, the new ammo loading system causes problems in the backpack with ammo boxes automatically filling nearby magazines.

Just some minor performance stuff, the body is not properly roomscale and the controls are still jank. Being an ex-PSVR mode it plays well enough if you're sitting down using some stick turning but everyone was hoping for more.
I've played the flat game a ton yet still had fun in the VR mode; The ability to create chaos in sandbox levels suits the way VR turns the player into a mischievous psychopath.

Hit the orange and grey boxes on the way and then go into factory. From there run dead straight into the side room of the building where the bombing mission is. Quickly loot it then leave and circle around the building to the right. Check the fire escape stairs for a grey box, then go left down the road to wards the intersection. Go right at the intersection past the infinished building and keep running until you get to the overpass by the big electric anomaly cluster. Swing around it and go through to the village shortcut. From the swamp village transition go up the safehouse tower for the silver crate. Swing by the downed helicopter and then the edge of the village proper for another silver crate, then go towards the nearest pervomay route shortcut. In pervomay go immediately to your right, check under the rail platform for an orange crate, then check the building to the left for another orange crate and leave through the gap in the wall. Go up onto the ridge and through blockpost where you'll be able to quickly dash into the top floor and out for a silver crate. Travel down the hill into cover behind the tipped over truck and into the bombed out field. Go straight towards the power station and home through the exit.

Relatively safe though there's lots of melee enemies in this path. Some armoured seekers that might fuck your shit if you can't avoid them in factory but factory has such good loot it's really important to hit at least a few loot spots. You could probably do it with two knives.

Yeah, been doing that yesterday. At first, I wanted to run straight to the palace and loot boxes around there (next to no enemies, good weapons, can also jank my way through the gate and pick up saiga for $), but then I've decided to just take it slow and start from scratch. Found tokarev, will continue today, and eventually it'll feel like heaven to go back there and rain down two days of rage upon them.

It also helps that I've been doing nothing but extermination missions, so now I have all of low-level artifact hunts and other sidequests available to me for extra money. I love this game, it's rare to be amused even when you're in the middle of losing hard.

Not really, the mod doesn't touch the set vanilla spawns. It just makes it so you find more ammo and guns to compensate for the shop being disabled. So far I have more ammo than I know what to do with, and I'm holding out on finding a ramrod so I can properly clean my weapons. I'm not sure where I'm supposed to get a gas mask either.. I wouldn't recommend it for a first playthrough because it seems like you gotta farm each area every tide to find enough kit to take on the harder areas.

I like it because fuckups are more severe - I need to make a decision on whether or not I can make it home without using that medkit because I can't just go buy more, I have to ration them carefully

I played it a bit. It reminds me a lot of S&D with the hardcore mode in Call of Duty. There's no eco or complexity to think about beyond one-life and shooting your gun. TTK and movement are pretty fast like CoD too.
The gun mechanics are great and I really like the 'social hub' to hang out in before a match. Sound and grenades are excellent too but that's more or less where my praise ends. Maps were ugly, selection of weapons limited and gamemode was only sweaty 5v5 S&D. They added CTF with this release but I bet it plays the same.

I'm glad I got it for free because even with the launch discount I'd be hesitant to buy it. They're entirely going hard on competitive esports style FPS and that's just not for me anymore.

Valve index is 'good' quality, if it wasn't for how bad of a track record some of the hardware has in regards to durability. The issue is compounded by their laughable warranty (1 year - some credit cards can apparently get you extended warranty), however Valve will often give you a 'customer service gesture' and replace something out of warranty anyway.
