Surprisingly that's not a problem, those speakers function like headphones, you can barely hear the sound if you're not wearing the headset. Very directed sound. Try taking it off and listening, it's very faint. Unless you're watching porn in a room full of people of course, then do use headphones

I'll have to look into redoing the thermal paste later, but mostly it sits at around 80-82C after 45min or so of PCVR.
You can check the temps with dev mode unlocked. Go into general > about and hit the software number 10 times and the dev menu will show up on the left.
Then it's Metrics at the bottom and a small overlay shows up with cpu/gpu usage and temps.

honestly pirating is kinda easier on a desktop. and with the pico file browser you can connect to shared folders on your pc and access files that way. if you want to pirate directly on your pico get telegram and look up russian pico piracy channels, the one i use is PicoLAND

even then it might be easier to install telegram on a desktop where you can google translate the stuff they put out and which link is what.

You're right, 64gb is ideal. If you're on a low vram card and you've got other shit running it is 100% possible to cap out 32gb in a mega instance. Walking Dead Saints and Sinners Ch1/Ch2 are really slept on, great titles.

Highly recommend if you're into Zombie titles, crafting looting game loops.

Basically this. Most vr porn is just a 3d video or a 1st person mod for some hentai game. There's a couple of niche fetish things that are astounding in vr like all the sizefaggotry. VR gives you depth perception so your brain will instinctively give everything the proper scale. Being huge makes everything seem like toys and being small makes everything seem huge. Newfag here. Is it me or is VR racing kind of underwhelming? VR just doesn't feel that cool without physical movement and motion controls. So I can look around in a car, big deal, doesn't really make the racing game any better to be honest, it controls and plays the same way as flat. You get your 3D but also have to deal with inferior graphics, not really an improvement, just a trade off.

Like you say, it's an incremental upgrade, same as like getting a better monitor, or trackIR, or a real shifter and pedals, etc etc. But if the base mechanic of going fast or drifting or whatever doesn't appeal, doing it in VR isn't going to change your mind.

What does that mean? Last time I got glasses they measured it and it was 72mm. My headset also has an adjustment for it. The problem isn't blurriness in the horizontal field of view, it's the vertical. If I move the headset like half a millimeter up or down everything becomes blurry and it's pretty much impossible to get it adjusted at the right spot and keep it that way the entire time.

Attention fellow picofags, if you want to take full advantage of the display resolution, there's unfortunately only one option. And it's using Godlike mode in VD.
Why you may ask? Both Pico Stream Assistant and VD use encoding settings that squish down the resolution to 3/4th it's original one. What does this mean exactly? If you select the Ultra preset in both VD and SA, you'll get your input image of 2560x2560 squished down to about 1920x1920 which is quest 2 tier (and thus icky).
On VD godlike mode, the image is 3120x3120 and when shown on the actually display it's closer to filling the 2160x2160 resolution ( 2340 ).
No you might be sweating at the thought of rendering games at this resolution, but you don't have to. In your steam VR settings, you just need to drop render resolution of your games to 2160x2160 (or even lower really) and that's it. Some pixels will be lost from all the resizing but it's the absolute best quality you'll get via PCVR (assooming 150mbps HEVC encoding).

With all the DLC I think it's a fun sandbox. I've got like 400hrs out of it. I think there's only two mods you'd really need and that'd be KUDA AI Tweaks (so your destroyer don't kill themselves into stations) and another one from a deadair that makes it so the economy keeps running even when there's shortages.
There's quite a lot of scripted plotlines that takes hours to do if you're not too keen on the sandbox aspect of it. Everyone recommends the terran cadet start because it's the most action oriented one.
